In her days of recovery, Y/N Bodt found herself thinking a lot more than normal, and she seemed to find herself lost in the corners of her mind more often than she would like to admit. Memories of better times were proved to be like a painkiller to her, as whenever Y/N thought of the smiling face of her late brother she too smiled.
Of course she had visitors, Levi and Eren being the two most frequent. Y/N enjoyed both of their company equally, and the feelings that came with them even more. The Jaeger boy seemed to bring a warm sort of glow to her life while the moody Captain gave her a feeling of understanding.
Levi hadn't told anyone he was visiting Y/N. Not that it was their business anyway, but he preferred to leave it unspoken. So, he only went to see her at night, normally discussing the events of the day and reading to her until she fell asleep. He liked it better that way.
Today, however, was the last day Y/N would have to spend out of training, as her head had healed well and only left a small scar above her eyebrow. She was glad to be able to get back, and see her friends again. Not only that but she would finally be able to see Levi for longer than a few hours.
The Bodt girl took a last look at her room, before smiling to herself and walking out, into a large courtyard that led to the mess hall. No one else really knew she was coming back today, so Y/N could already picture their faces when they saw her.
Making her way through the yard, Y/N sighed a little. She thought about how her parents were doing, how her friends back home were doing. If they weren't all dead.
Walking into the large hall, the twin eyed the room for her group of friends. It was already dinner time, so the whole of the Scouts were dining at the moment. Locating the table they were sat at, Y/N slowly walked behind her boyfriend, bringing a finger over her lips to quiet the others.
Moving her hands to Eren's shoulders, she placed her head on top of his.
"Hey! I have a-" Eren started, turning around. "Oh! It's you!"
He jumped out of his seat, embracing Y/N in a tight hug. Once they pulled away he gave her a soft kiss, which didn't last for long.
