Chapter Five: Unagi Ride

Your pov
"Bring a trophy back for me." I sighed and laid on the bed.

"You're not coming with?" Zuko asked.

"I don't find satisfaction in beating up such strong and capable women. The women of Kyoshi are amazing. I'd rather beat up disgusting men who think they're sooo much better because they're bigger." I said.

"I'll see what I can find."

"Don't die." I sarcastically said and waved him out from the bed.

     The ship shook as the rhinos were let out with the soldiers to find the avatar. I could faintly hear the battle as I laid on the bed. It was boring just listening, so I went out to watch. From the edge of the ship, I saw a bison starting to fly away. "Well, you don't see that everyday." The old man said, to which I nodded at.

     My gaze followed the bison as it flew overhead. Something smaller dropped from the bison, the avatar. He flew into the water before he emerged from the water riding the Unagi. 'I'm soo doing that.' A large smile was spread against my face.
     The avatar made the Unagi spit water onto the burning village before returning to his bison. The soldiers and rhinos came back onto the ship. "After him!" Zuko shouted.

"Wait! Wait!" I shouted, the smile still on me face, as I tore my clothes off and leaving the necessities to cover myself.

"You shouldn't do that, (Y/n)!" The old man shouted at me.

"Hold this!" I tossed my shirt at him before hopping over the ship.

     I used my water bending and glided to where the Unagi was. Once I was over it, I fell into the water. It rushed at me before I attached myself to it's head using my water bending. It hissed before going over the water, trying to throw me off. "Hell yeah!" I laughed, enjoying this.

     It continued to try and throw me off by going under the water then over. I noticed a treasure chest near a sunken ship. I used my water bending to bring it with me. It eventually got used to me before lowering me to the ship.
     I hopped off and pet his head gently. It hummed, nuzzling into my hand slightly. "I'll try to visit. Bye bye, Unagi."

     It roared before going back into the water. "What were you thinking!?" Zuko shouted, while I stared at my treasure chest.

     I released my chest and caught it before splashing the water in his face. A large smirk on my face as I carried the chest to the shared room of ours.

     Once in the room, I placed the chest on the floor and searched through it. "Are you not going to answer me?!" Zuko shouted as he barged into the room.

"I'm kinda busy right now. Come back later." I shooed him away.

     He grabbed my hand roughly and pulled me away from the chest. "Answer!"

"I was thinking it would be cool to ride the Unagi! And it was! I even got a treasure chest out of it!" I pulled my hand away from his.

     He sighed heavily. "Here." He picked the back of my head with something.

"Jeez! What is it now!?" I shouted and turned to him.

     A gold fan was in my face when I turned. "What is this?" I asked.

"The trophy you asked for. I didn't kill anyone for it. I just took it off the ground."

"A genuine Kyoshi fan? For real!?" I exclaimed, standing up and grabbing the fan from him. "Too bad I'm not an air bender, but this is so cool!"

     I did a few stances with the fan, ecstatic about it. I almost hit him in the face, and he punch it out of my hand and out of the window. "My fault. Completely." He held his hands up.

     I groaned, a pang of sadness in my heart. "You damn fire soldiers." I sighed and looked out the window the fan was shot out from.

"I can go find another. We're still on the outskirts of Kyoshi."

"Wait, hold up." I covered his mouth and stared out the window.

"I can-" He moved my hand to continue talking.

"Get down!" I shouted and pushed him to the floor.

     A clank was heard above us. I looked up to see the fan stuck into the wall. The smile came back to my face when I realized it was the fan. I got off of Zuko and went to the fan. "Looks like you don't need to get another one." I laughed, holding the fan.

"Can you just... put your clothes back on." He held my clothes out to me.

"It's too hot." I huffed and sat in front of the chest. "Wanna look through the goods with me?"

     He shifted from laying on the floor to sitting next to me. I maneuvered my way through the gold pieces, finding a small crown. "Oh! That goes great with this other thing I found!"

"What'd you find? A matching set of earrings?" He taunted.

"No! This!" I held up a skull in my hands.

     He screeched and fell back. "Where did you get that!?" He shouted.

"In the chest." I put the little crown on the skull and admired it. "I'll call you... Duke!"

"Dukes don't wear crowns." Zuko taunted once more.

"Duke can also be a name! Stupid idiot fire man!" I shouted at him and throwing the gold pieces in his face.

"It seems like you two are getting along now." The old man chuckled from the doorway. "And who is this little fella?" He held up the skull and inspected it.

"Duke." I responded.

"What a fancy name for a fancy man." He laughed loudly before handing Duke back to me and leaving.

     I set Duke on the desk and admired it. "There's a bunch of others stuff in here too." The boy on these floor said.

"Looking through my stuff now?"

"You asked if I wanted to go through it with you. And look." He held up something like a scroll pouch.

"What's this?" I grabbed it from him and opened it. "This... is an ancient water bending scroll! No one has seen this scroll in a few centuries!"

"Is it that important?"

"Like your honor is to you! I'm so trying this out tomorrow. Right now, sleep." I set the scroll on the desk and fell onto the bed.
