"Oh my God! Elle?! Owen?!" Claire's voice pierced my eardrums as it echoed through both our radios.

Owen let go of his tight grip, the comforting warmth fading away as he did so, and picked up the device. "Alive and breathing"

"Thank Goodness! Are you guys okay?!"

Owen's lips curved up into a tired smile. "More than okay"

"Can you make it out of there safely?"

"We can try" Owen snooped his head from a branch and looked around. "Man, I really hope I don't have to clean that"

    "Are they all dead?"

    "Most likely"

The raptor trainer glanced at me with a nod before sliding down the tree. I waited for his signal so I could do the same. Fortunately, the tree wasn't too far from the main gate. We could actually make it. "Open the gate" Owen requested.

    "Are you sure?"

"Open the damn gate, Claire" I sighed, every muscle of my body begging for a whole day worth of rest.

At the exact moment, the bars opened, Owen and I sprinted outside. A pair of unfamiliar arms pulled me into a hug. Dyson? I looked over at Owen, who was also being hugged, by Claire.

"There's something you need to know" Dyson blurted out breathless as I just stared at him in confusion. - "I wasn't supposed to ditch you on that date. Owen-"

"You got me all worried!" Claire abruptly interrupted, literally pulling me away from Dyson.

"I'm sorry, Claire" I honestly apologized when she pulled me into a tight hug.

Dawn was now lightful enough for us to actually notice. A bunch of jeep cars with the Jurassic World logo on them stopped in our proximity. Security guards minded the perimeter, while a couple of meds checked on both me and Owen.

"I need a full day of sleep" I complained when we were finally free to go. Claire sprinted towards one of the cars and hopped on the driver's seat, waiting for us.

"You need a full day of sleep?! I walked in circles in a squared cage with four velociraptors and barely made it alive!" Owen mocked goofily.

"You made it alive because I told you were your raptors were!"

"Please, I could smell them with no problem" he continued smugly.

"You could smell them?" I snorted. "Sir, please"

"Ha, you're lucky I was there to keep you warm" he stopped and made me swing in a quick graceful movement so I was facing him.

    "Oh, really?" I shyly flirted.

"Mh-mh" he hummed stepping dangerously closer. "You're still cold?"

"Uh, guys?" Claire abruptly shuttered the atmosphere. "Aren't you tired? C'mon! Let's go get some deserved sleep!"

I playfully hit Owen's chest. "The last one down is dilophosaurus poop!"

I started running but tripped on my feet, I really did need some sleep. Owen bent back his head as he laughed at me. "How old are you? Five? Just get in the car"

.

Sunrays entered the side window and fell on my face. I groaned and rolled over the other side of the bed, not managing to go back to sleep. I eyed the clock, 8 am. What? Really? Had I only been asleep for three hours? I picked up my phone, two missed calls. One from Owen and one from Dyson. I dialed the former's number and called back. As he picked up, his voice came out muffled and hoarse. "Hello?"
