"Sorry for interrupting?!" I scolded when Claire lead me to the security facility's restroom. "What do you think we were doing? Why would you have to say that? Oh, boy, I'm acting so weird, what is wrong with me?"

"Breathe" the redhead laughed. "What you're feeling is totally okay"

"Crap, do you think he noticed?"

"Honey" Claire eyed me confused. "You guys openly flirt at any occasion"

"We do? I mean, he does?"

I refreshed up a little, my mind replaying that kiss an unhealthy amount of times. Whenever I closed my eyes, it's like I could still feel his soft push on my lips. It was nerve-wracking. I brushed away every thought and mentally slapped myself for being so extra about it.

"So what's this meeting about?" I distractedly asked.

"InGen plans to sue us for personal damage. They could take down most of the dinosaurs" Claire sighed with a frown.

"They can do that? They literally asked to be eaten alive"

"Our dinosaurs are supposed to be trained." she quoted with a huff. "Did they low-key think we could stop them by hushing them?"

Claire and I talked about it all the way to the meeting room. Roger stopped me in the doorway and handed me a name tag and a new ID security card, an odd smile plastered on his face. I thanked him and eyed Owen, who soon showed me a proud smile and signaled me to sit between him and Claire, which I happily did.

The few moments following that, it was pure chaos. Roger introduced the new marketing CEO, a slap on the plain face. Michael. My smile fell instantly, only Dyson noticing. He threw me a side glance, being the only one who knew about my ex. Owen quirked an eyebrow, flickering his glance from me to his colleague and back.

Michael started explaining his marketing plan for the park in his usual obnoxious way. Words on words, fancy words, random facts. He was born a salesman. "A break is much needed. We'll be back on it in ten"

I was the first one to sprint out of the room. Owen and Claire eyed me confused, Dyson approaching them and probably explaining why I was being so weird. I hid in the restroom with my redhead friend during the whole break, talking and exchanging opinions. I felt bad for leaving Owen with Dyson, knowing well how they disliked each other.

"You're sitting with me" was the only thing Owen said when I walked out of the ladies' room. I glanced up at him and nodded.

Once everyone returned to the meeting room, Michael looked at me for the first time, his sight burning on me. I couldn't tell if he hadn't noticed me before or if he just plain ignored my presence. I nervously played with my fingers on the table and looked away. I felt a warm pressure on my hand so I glanced up to my left. Owen had the softest smiles of all, his fingers tickling my skin as he caressed the back of my hand.

He leaned to my ear and whispered, his warm breath sending shivers to my neck. "Your accommodation won't be ready for a couple of days, you can stay at mine, in the meantime"

I involuntarily closed my eyes as he spoke, getting lost to the sound of his voice, a smile creeping on my face. "You have a spare room?"

"No" he shrugged as he lied back on his chair a little, a smug smirk on his face.

A flash of heat flushed on my cheeks at the only sound of his voice. I was sure at that point, I was helplessly falling for Owen Grady. I shyly smiled at the thought, forgetting how there were at least twenty other people in the room with us.
