Waking up I notice that the room is brighter than it was yesterday, and my bed was slightly warm. Was Ian sleeping with me? I asked myself, sitting up. My bedroom door was open, which was odd because I sleep with my bedroom door closed.
Getting out of bed I walk up to my doorway and look out into the hallway. I notice that Phil's bedroom door was also open, and his light was on. What the... I thought as I walked down the hallway, gazing into his room as I passed it. No sight of anyone, or Ian. Which was strange.
Stepping foot into the Kitchen my heart stopped. I couldn't tell if this was my brain playing games, or if I was dreaming. Either way, I never wanted this to end. Looking at Phil, I let myself smile wide as ever. Is this real?! I was really happy.
"Phil..?" I say walking up to him.
"Hm!" Phil looked at me with his mouthful of my cereal. I couldn't help but laugh.
"Phil!" I didn't care if he was eating my cereal, all I cared about in the world was hugging him and never letting go.
"Dan?" Phil said as I wrapped my arms tightly around him, burrowing my face in his chest. "What's wrong?" My tears began seep into Phil's shirt as I hold him as tightly as I could, feeling his heartbeat against mine.
"A terrible nightmare..." I softly say, looking up at his perfect blue eyes.
"Don't worry, i'm here to protect you. It was just a dream." He says, putting his hand lightly on my cheek.
Wrapping my arms around him, I press my lips lightly against his. And that was when I realized, that I never missed someone so much like I missed him. Phil was my happiness, and all I ever needed to know that everything would be okay.
"I love you" Phil whispered in my ear, sending shivers down my spine.
"I love you too." I smile, kissing his cheek.
