Byeol

While I was adoring Moonbin, the door to his room opened and I instantly turned to see who it was.

It was Dr. Song and Dr. Geum.

Their eyes were wide and their mouths were hanging open.

They were shifting their eyes from Moonbin and then to me.

I started to panic.

"Uhm, I can explain!"

Dr. Song covered her mouth with her two hands. Dr. Geum was slightly shaking.

"I-isn't he..." He said while pointing at Moonbin.

Threads of cold sweats ran down my temples.

Come on, Byeolie! Think of a good excuse!

Both of my colleagues went nearer to the bed and looked closely at Moonbin.

I'm doomed.

There's no way I can get out of this.

From the looks of their faces, it seemed like they recognize him.

I'm done for.

"Your boyfriend?" Dr. Geum said suddenly.

My boyfriend?

I looked at Moonbin and remembered that MB3 once fetched me because I was so drunk and that Dr. Geum saw him.

Well, that's a relief.

I thought they recognized him as Astro's Moonbin.

I awkwardly played with my left earring and smiled sheepishly.

"Uh, yes. Yes, he is," I confirmed awkwardly.

Dr. Song suddenly looked at me with teary eyes and embraced me tight.

I was so surprised. I hate skinships if they're not from MB3.

I tried to push her slightly but she tightened the hug more.

"You must be having a hard time, Dr. Lee," she said as I felt my shoulders wet from her tears, I guess.

She let go of me and I saw her wipe her cheeks.

She did cry.

What's wrong with her?

"Is this the reason why you couldn't leave Japan just yet? Is this why you pushed the project to start next month?" Dr. Song asked.

I nodded as it was the actually the real reason.

"What happened to him?" Dr. Geum said while looking at Moonbin with pity.

I looked at him as well and sighed.

I told them that he was kidnapped and everything except MB3 and the sasaeng of course. I casually inserted some lies here and there to avoid loop holes. I told them that it was the case that I was talking about.

While I was speaking, it felt like someone was watching us, or me, particularly. But when I turned my head to the direction of the window, there was no one.

I just shrugged it off and contined speaking.

I also explained to them that he has to be treated in my house because I was afraid that the kidnapper will take him away again if he'll be in the hospital.

It seemed like they believed my story. They look like they really pity him.

"How sad," Dr. Geum said and pat my shoulder.
