"Avni, Neil, sit." Neela Ma, Neil's paramount saviour, the Chief Justice of their life, was here as per Neil's request. He knew Avni was getting out of his bounds and she would listen to Neela Ma only.

Neil took a seat at the couch, Avni sat on the other end, staring at the picture in her hand. "Avni, I'm here to sort both of you-" Neela began but paused as she observed that Avni was paying no heed to her words.

"Avni?"
"I've always been surrounded by people who like to leave me, stranded." Avni crushed the picture in her hand and looked at her ....mother?
"Avni, it wasn't Ayesha Ji's picture, was it ?" Neela asked, gaping at her. "It was. " She refuted coldly and Neela gasped.

"Av...There is no need of a divorce. Neil is ready to reconcile, he always was. He was just proving that nothing is there between you and Ali and that his family was wrong! He-"

"Oh he tried to defend me by silencing me?" Avni asked, getting up, clenching her fists, throwing the picture away. "And listen mom, if you're saying that we don't need a divorce because if we have one then I'd come back to you, that's not happening. I'm staying here for a month, I get a salary, and I will get my own rented house and live in it. I won't trouble you, that's a promise I won't break." Avni spoke hastily, turning away at the last word.

"Trouble? You?Avni...." Neela Ma gasped again and then it hit her. She had said those words to Avni when she came to her after the marriage .

"I need some time off from you guys. From everyone." She mumbled and ran outside the room.

Neil's condition grew pathetic seeing Neela Ma cry, his phone rang and he picked it up absent mindedly.
"Sirji! Idea number 123!"

Avni went for running in the park nearby, she wasn't running away from her problems though.

When she came back, she found the door to Neil's oops their room locked. She was surprised for a moment but opened it, casually.
But the room looked different.

And then she noticed it .

"Your parents, are equally a part of this house. And they're my parents too. You've got no right to throw their pictures away." Neil crossed his arms, looking at her sternly. He had put up all of her childhood pictures in their room, her parents' picture, her toys, everything!

"Everyone gets to live a childhood Avni. You too. I'll make sure you live it before you leave me." Neil shrugged, looking down, thinking she liked it or not . It was only when he heard some sobs that he looked up. "Hey, don't cry!" Neil took her face in his hands; to his surprise, she hugged him and cried. He did nothing but stroke her hair, listening to her cries.

"Life is not fair. They didn't have to go away so soon." She sniffed . "Wouldn't it be nice if they still here, for me, with me?" She continued, loosening her grip on him. "You know, Dad and me always adored this pet fish we had, Chamko. When dad disowned me, I went to her. She...died." Avni spoke, breaking apart and looking at him.

"I knew things were not going to be okay.." She hissed, wiping her tears and went to the bathroom
When she came out Neil was standing waiting for her. She needed it, so let it be for a day.

Neil cuddled her and let her sleep. He knew this wasn't a step towards mending their relationship , this was a mere emotional breakdown.

"Have you watched Shin Chan? Like ever?" Neil asked, waking her up all of a sudden. "No. What is It?" Avni asked, holding the pillow. "Cartoon. Let's see.." He took out his phone and binged some episodes. And Avni 's laughter and giggles was the best thing he listened to in a while.
