"Are you attending?"Laila dragged me back to my reverie when she spoke. She's already dressed up. Wearing a simple gold dress.
"H-uh?" I blinked twice.
Her forehead creased, "You look bothered. Is it because of that guy?"
Agad akong umiling at umiwas ng tingin. I don't want to burden her with my own problem.
"I'm.. j-ust thinking about things"
She smiled, "You can talk to me about your problems right?"
Umiling ako habang tipid na nakangiti, "I know but just not now"
She nodded her head, "Okay if you say so. You attending though?"
Muli akong umiling, "Nah. I'll just stay here. Enjoy your night"
"What? Why? Come on, you used to be present all the time!"
"I will just burden you with my bad mood,"
She tsked, "Stop it! Change and then we'll go!"
I only wore a white longsleeve one shouldered tight dress that ends above my knees, I paired it with my black platform heels. I tied my hair into a tight bun.
"I'm so excited!" she pulled me by my arm.
There's a lot of people entering the place. Laila keeps on talking about how she's excited about this. She's a party animal. Between us she was always been the party enthusiast.
"I've been craving this night for three effin months! My gosh!" she exclaimed.
"It's too obvious," I laughed.
Rushy tapped the space beside him. Jericho immediately handed us a bottle of beer when we finally sat down.
The music is already in a full blast, people are dancing and drinking everywhere. Our upper heads are already in their own worlds.
"How's first day?" Rushy leaned to whisper to my ear.
"It's always been tiring but fulfilling," I smiled.
"Hmm, you look stunning but sad at the same time.. why is that?"
I looked at it and smiled bitterly. I will only lie to myself when I say that I'm not hurting. Seeing the love of my life, finally fulfilling the promise I made him do out of his will is so heartbreaking.
I might sound so dumb and bitch but I want him for myself and I couldn't do anything about my frustration. It's just so sad that I had to push him away again.
"J-ust self realizations.." I whispered.
"Nifferty! I told you! Enjoy, why are you frowning?!" umismid saakin si Laila.
"Then let's go dance!"
I was already dancing in the middle of the dance floor when Rushy appreared in front of me. He was staring at me intently, watching me sway my hips along with the song.
