What the hell. My name was not Layla. At least not for him.

« - I think you forgot. My name is Ines not Layla.

- You still don't recognize me ? He says.

- Well if you were more interesting maybe I would.

- Isaac, your kindergarten's crush.

- If you were actually my crush I wouldn't have forgotten you. Don't you think so?

- Okay, okay. I might not have been your crush. But we were in the same kindergarten.

- Anyway, good night. And I'm not Layla by the way. »

He laughed like if he didn't believe me. He turned around to lay on his other side. I started trying to remember all my kindergarten classmates. No way he was one of them. I would've remembered his eyes. I mean, they are so beautiful...

« - I'm sure I don't know you, I said.

He started snoring, fake snoring...

- I know you aren't sleeping.. I said rolling my eyes.

- How can I sleep if you don't stop bothering me?

Is he kidding me? Me bothering him? He was the one who talked to me in the first place.

- Okay night, I said »

I turned around and closed my eyes, trying to have some sleep.

- I was joking .. he said.

- Now who's bothering? I replied.

He laughed.
- I see now. You like to have the last word.

- You can't understand me.. You've known me for like, 2 seconds? I said

- You mean since kindergarten?
- What? No, that's just impossible, I stopped.
Are you ... are you stalking me ?

- What? He said surprised. He started laughing. Why would I stalk you?

- I don't know. Forget about that. Anyway don't try to go further I won't give any information about me. I'm keen on keeping my privacy secure.

- We'll be spending a lot of time together you know ...

- Not really. I'm leaving this place tomorrow. Sorry to disappoint.

- ohh.. I didn't know.

- I just left the house without an authorization nor a mask. That's not really serious.

- See you're starting to talk about yourself...

- I didn't say anything important... Don't make me regret.

- okay okay.. and why did you leave the house?

- Well it's my birthday and I..

- Oh

- is that the only thing you're gonna say ?

- Well I could tell you happy birthday and that you'll spend a nice birthday although you're stuck in a cell but we both know that's not true.. he argued.

Wow, that was true. I couldn't agree more. I'm the first one to hate wishing unrealistic things. But I mean, it's always nice to be wished a happy birthday. Why doesn't he ?

I didn't answer.

- Are you mad because I didn't wish you a happy birthday or what? He asked.

Is he reading my mind? It was kind of freaky. It was like he knew me... since kindergarten if I may say.

- No, I denied.
- Yes, you mean. Happy birthday Layla, he said with a smile.

He had a beautiful smile. And his eyes, to be honest were the most beautiful eyes I've seen. I was staring at him, so deeply until I had realized that we were having an awkward eye contact.

Before I even speak, a policeman interrupted the moment.

"- Mister! Someone is waiting for you.

Isaac glanced at me, with an intrigued look.
I hate to admit it, but I was kind of worried to be left alone here.
He stood up and left out the cell with the guard.

I was staring at him, exiting the place and leaving me behind. He was tall though. And I could see his muscular chest through his slim black top. It was the first time I let myself admit that he was overly good-looking.

Here I was, sitting on the ground, alone, left with my worries and thoughts. What if no one comes for me? What if I stay here for a long time? What if I die here because of the virus?
I was trying to sleep but these images kept crossing my mind.

Fifteen minutes later, I hear someone playing with the keys. It was the guard, opening the cell's door. Yes, I won't be alone tonight. Isaac was behind him.

"- I'm back! He says .

- You sound very happy to be locked in a cell though, I told him.

- Well I always like to be someone's hero

- whose hero are you now? I asked.

I knew he was talking about me. What a jerk. He really thinks that I need him, that he was my hero.

- Yours. You can't survive here alone, trust me.

- Well it's not like if it was your choice to stay here.

- True. They just called me for some paper stuff.

- Did you try to ask the time?

- It's 2 am. You should sleep. You seem tired, he said.

- So you're looking after me now. I'm not a baby and you're not my hero. Just so you know, I told him.

- Yeah yeah. Anyway, why are you still here? No one could pay for your bail? He asked.

- My mom. She likes to be right in everything. She told me not to go out and I ended up here. I think she wants me to learn from my mistakes..

- I see. But just the fact that you admit being wrong is already learning for your mistakes.

- Yeah tell that to my mom.. What about you? Why are you even here?

It didn't matter to me before but since I'm sharing with him my issues, he's got to tell me his. I hate the mysterious type.

- Just like you, he replied.

That's it? I wanted something more fun, more dangerous...

- Just like you, with a little more illegal stuff , he added.

Now it's interesting..
