Chapter: Twenty Three

Luca glares at the wall trying her hardest to get through to someone in her link it seemed bear had cut her off and he's never done that before her heart sunk heavily in her chest when fingers snapping in front of her face catches her attention her father leans back chuckling sadly
"You get that same look your mother does when she's planning something."
Luca leans forward putting her elbows on her knees looking to her father Brian and Leo
"I've met this threat before, it's actually the one who took me down with a group of rouges at the annual mate event."
Luca spit the last word out with malice glaring to the wall again ,the one damn time they took her off guard and degraded her in front of Marie.
"His name is Xrexes or at least that's what he calls himself. He's trying to become some vampire king, he threatened to take Marie away, chained up and injected with wolfsbane I told him he and his made up title would vanish."
They all waiting Marie headed towards the gardens to the children as the alphas talked heading in once dinner was called Marie looked around the he table seeing Lucas father and brother returned but still no Luca she went up to look for her excusing herself from the table.
She found the room Luca and herself are staying in finding Luca staring out the window only wearing shorts and a sports bra
"Lu are you gonna come eat?"
Luca turned around her face softened as she looked at Marie
"I'm not hungry my flower maybe later."
She turned back Marie sighed going up behind her mate laying her head In between her shoulder blades wrapping her arms around her waist
"Do you want to talk about it?"
Luca sighs leaning back on to Marie slightly
"More like is rather forget about it..."
Marie turned Luca around a look of lust clouding her eyes
"Well I can help with both."
Luca chuckled pulling Marie into a deep kiss as Marie wrapped her arms around Lucas neck Luca wrapped her arms around Marie's back one of her hand snaking up her back to the back of her head pushing her in closer the other sinks below her butt she taps her leg letting Marie know to jump as she did Marie wrapped her legs around Luca torso moaning as Luca began to suck and kiss down her jaw to her neck leaving little marks in her wake laying her out on the bed
"Look like dinners ready already"

Luca and Marie laid only covered by a thin sheet Luca pulled up from the floor.
Marie laid sound asleep and Luca twirled Marie's hair around her fingers and deep look in her eyes as she thinks with the mate bond complete now Marie could feel the stress waking her up to look up to the still dazed Luca Marie brings her hand up to lay it on Lucas face catching her attention Luca smiles down to Marie kissing her nose and pulling her closer Marie sighed into Lucas embrace she ask breaking the silence of the room
"So what's the plan? How can I help?"
She pulled back lifting herself to Lucas eye level not caring the sheet slipped
"Right now the plan is to get back to your family and rally all our allies this isn't a fight we can win alone."
Luca pulled the sheet back up once he mates chest caught her eye making Marie bust out laughing getting up taking the sheet with her
"Here how about this I'll take this and myself to the shower then we can pack up and tell the others ok?"
Luca smirks and Marie's eyes traveled her body in a mischievous look then farting into the bathroom Luca jumps up
"I'll join you."
They let out a laugh as as Luca catches Marie in the bathroom ,but 1000's of miles away xerex felt the shift in power and all hell was about to break loose.
