Dream's POV
It had been a while since we had all gotten home. Once we had arrived, Nightmare's friends had gawked at the house while Ink and Blue just headed up to my room. I helped everyone get settled in before leaving to go hang out with them upstairs. We talked for a while, played a few games, watched TV, the usual.
"Hey dream," Ink said
"Whats up?"
"Wanna go downstairs and hang out with the others?" Blue's head snaps to attention at Ink's suggestion, before looking at me puppy-dog eyes.
I chuckle at their antics "Yea sure, why not?"
As we make our way downstairs we chat a little, Making jokes about the chaos they've caused.
Chaos couldn't even begin to describe it.
Cross is duck taped to the wall, bright purple, with magic restraints on his wrists while yelling at Killer to let him loose. Killer is smugly swinging a ring of keys around his finger saying "Not till you confess you like nightmare~"
"NEVER!"
"Then you're never getting down." Killer says matter-of-factly, trying not to laugh.
Horror is sitting in the middle of the floor ripping off raw meat from a bone, making me and Blue gag. Ink just stares curiously.
I decide to avert my eyes and notice that Dust is chasing my poor brother around the room, doing who knows what. Dust was obviously trying to yell something at Nightmare, but nightmare's screams drowned him out.
Error is in the corner, his eyes clouded over a small sign over his head, I can't read it from here though.
And finally, Retri, somehow, has her horns stuck deep into the floor. And she's desperately trying to get out of her upside down predicament by flapping her wings.
Then they notice us.
All commotion immediately stops as they all stare at us. And at that moment Retri finally gets her horns out of the floor with a loud thud.

Cross' POV
By now everyone was curled up with a quiet activity, tired out from the "events" (*ahem ahem* chaos) of the day.
"Hey Nightmare."
"Hm?"
"How did you even get into our class?"
"I mean- I heard rumours about it but I can't really be sure..." I trailed off
"Wow im uhh, really tired. I-I should go to bed" Nightmare says, he looks uncomfortable "Goodnight!"
And with that, he goes upstairs.
"w0w, WoNDeR wHaT ThAt wAS aBoUt." Error says.
"Meh, who knows." Lust says as he snuggles closer to Horror.

Nightmare's POV
I can't sleep. I've tried everything, from counting sheep, to doing jumping jacks. And nothing's working.
Maybe I should go outside, the cold night air always helps me clear my head.
I make my way through the house, stopping at the entrance to the attic, trapped in thought. I pull down the ladder, coughing as I'm engulfed in a cloud of dust. The ladder creaks as I pull it down the rest of the way and climb up into the long ignored attic. On my way to the exit onto the roof, I noticed a picture, hidden among the boxes. Of me, my brother and...dad. A pang of overwhelming guilt washes over me. Dad....
I don't remember too much about him. He died when I was younger. I do however remember his warm smile, he was my light in a world filled with darkness and hate. Him and Dream of course. I also remember one other thing...his death.
I shake my head, trying to get rid of the bad memories, and continue my journey. I've always been a night owl, and when I was little I would come up here and watch the stars every night. Dad would always worry I'd fall off and crack my skull open, so he'd often come with me. That's why I haven't been up there since...I snap out of my thoughts as the cold night air hits my face, and I feel at peace.
As I fully stand up I see a familiar figure in front of me, who I recognise to be Retri. I wonder if she can't sleep either...
I don't dwell on it, instead going over and plopping down next to her. She doesn't seem to notice though, probably cause' she's too busy glaring at thin air and muttering things under her breath.
"uhh..Retri."
"Wha-! Huh-! Oh, it's just you... how did you get up here anyways?"
"Through the attic" I nod my head towards the open skylight. "I'm assuming you flew then?"
"Yup. couldn't sleep?"
"Mhm."
"Me neither."
Ensue the awkward silence.
"You Know sometimes I wish I could live up there," Retri says out of the blue.
"Up... where?"
"Up in the stars, where I wouldn't have to deal with any of my problems."
I think on that for a minute.
"But if you lived up there, away from everything and everyone, wouldn't it get lonely? Plus your problems would catch up with you eventually. At least down here you still have your friends to help you through, right?"
She lets a small shocked sound
"You know... I never thought about it that way" she says while getting up "thanks Night."
And with that she disappears down the skylight into the attic, leaving me alone to ponder what problems someone who seems so confident as she does could possibly have.
901 words! hell yea!
I hope y'all enjoyed the chapter and I'll see you next time!
And remember if you have any mistakes you've seen or have a suggestion where the story should go next (please help I don't know where to take this next) make sure to make a comment!
