The Signs

  As I ventured out, I found that there were warning signs along the roads and paths. They didn't have lights or bright colors that instructed the wanderers what to do. The signs were pieces, if not whole bodies of infected that were strapped to bars, sticks, trees, you name it.
  The first time I ever saw these tormenting warnings, I veered away, walking in a totally different direction. Whoever had the guts to set the undead on their resting places were commendable, but also extremely insane. This world was dark long before the outbreak, but people seemed to have lost it beyond what I already thought. It didn't take long before I learned the quick lesson to kill the dead and fear the living.
