Eventually i stopped riding at Fox because i found out that they were underfeeding their horses.
It wasn't like the horses there were skin and bones, but most of horses ribs were slightly showing and instead of giving them a hay net or letting them graze during the day, they gave them around a flake of hay for breakfast and dinner and they got half a flake for lunch.
The best part of riding at Fox Equine was a horse named Wyatch ( We usually just called him Wyatt because it was easier then having to explain to people that Wyatt and Wyatch are two different names) I don't know if i mentioned this before, but Wyatch lived on the same ranch as Star and i would usually go feed him with my trainer.
Wyatch was a big black thoroughbred and people always thought it was funny to see me riding him because i was the youngest ( and smallest) person there, and Wyatch was the biggest horse on the ranch.
Pic of little me and Wyatch
As you can see in the picture above, i was really, really small. The person giving me a leg up was standing on top of a three stair tall mounting block because that was the only way that i could reach his back.
In this picture i think that i'm about four or five, look at how short my stirrups are! I've actually never seen this picture before today, but i wanting to put in a picture of Wyatch so i went to Fox Equine's website and found one.
Wyatch was definitely one of my favorite horses ever, but unfortunately he was taken away when i was around six.
His owner had cancer and found out that Fox underfed there horses, so she moved him to one of her friends ranch. She wanted to pass away knowing that her horse was safe and healthy, and that whoever had him wasn't going sell him. I totally understand that, but i was still really sad that he left.
I remember that i was literally crying into his coat, that year was definitely not a good one for me. All i know about where Wyatch might be is that he's at a vets ranch four hours away from where i live, not really that helpful if i'm trying to find him.
I don't remember much about Wyatch, but do remember that he was always super sweet to me and whenever i was having a bad day he would always cheer me up.
I left Fox Equine not to long after Wyatch, i didn't really see the point of going there anymore since i didn't have any friends and there wasn't a good horse for me to ride.
For the brief time i rode at Fox after Wyatch left, i rode a horse named Cash and he kind of looked like a mini quarter horse version of Wyatch.
