Izuku was rambling on and on about heroes to Shinsou, as both of them had finished eating. He was used to being cut off, told that he was being weird, but Shinsou just listened to him. He liked that about Shinsou, too. Not even his mother could usually listen to his ramblings for so long.

Then one of their classmates aproached the pair. "Hey, look!! It's the villain and his pet monster!!" she mocked. Shinsou groaned, and Izuku flinched subtly.

"I'm not a villain, and he's not my pet." Shinsou sighed.

After a second, Izuku fully processed the statement, and became confused, "why would Shinsou be a villain..?"

Our classmate seemed surprised, before shaking her head, "no wonder why you talk to him so willingly... Shinsou has a villainous quirk, called brainwashing. He can control anyone who answers his questions."

Shinsou burried his head in his arms, as Izuku turned his head to face him. "Woah! That's an amazing quirk! How long does it last before a person breaks free from it? Does it have any other triggers? What kind of responses are required for it too work? Ooh, can it work through electroics? What drawbacks does your quirk have? Are you able to control what people say, or are people unable to talk under the effects of your quirk? Is it like hypnosis, or complete mind control? Are you able to change what people think, like the name suggests?" Izuku rambled on, not leaving any room for Shinsou to answer his questions.

At some point, their classmate left, probably too disturbed by Izuku's muttering. He knew that it tended to creap people out.

"I... honestly didn't understand half of what you just said..." Shinsou said, dumbfounded.

He did not expect that kind of reaction when Izuku found out about his quirk.

Midoriya hadn't left Shinsou behind, or told him that he was a villain, much to Shinsou's delight.

But, Shinsou was still going to enter the hero course, and Midoriya would be left behind in the General Studies.

Unless they both somehow got into the hero course. Which Shinsou doubted was possible.

Shinsou walked through the hallways, with Midoriya following behind him, "where are we going? This isn't the way too the cafeteria.."

"We're gonna comfront the hero course, and then we'll go to get lunch. Okay?" Shinsou said, turning too look at his mutant friend.

Midoriya nodded, "okay, but why are we comfronting them..?"

"Well, you heard about the USJ, right? We're just gonna tell them that just because they got attacked, doesn't mean that they're better than us." Shinsou said.

Midoriya's ears drooped, "ya know, that doesn't seem right... I mean, they didn't ask to be attacked, and I don't remember any of them saying it made them better than us. It seems like you'd just rub salt in the wound, really."

Shinsou thought about it for a second, before nodding, "well, when you put it that way, it does seem pretty rude... c'mon, let's just go to the cafeteria."

Midoriya nodded, and the two of them turned around, going to the cafeteria. Shinsou ruffled Midoriya's hair, earning him a startled squeak.

Shinsou chuckled at him, as they continued walking to the cafeteria. They both got their food, and sat down at their table.

"So, Midoriya..." Shinsou started, not entirely sure how to say this. "Yeah, Shinsou-kun?" Midoriya asked, tilting his head slightly.

"You know how the Sports Festival is coming up, right..?" Shinsou asked, and Midoriya nodded.

"Well.. I'm going to try to transfer into the Hero Course through it."

Midoriya frowned, "but then you'd leave our class?"

Shinsou nodded, "yeah, I'm sorry.."

Midoriya looked down at his talons, as if he were thinking, before he looked up at Shinsou with an excited face. "Then I'll try to enter as well! It was my dream to be a hero as a kid.."

Shinsou was glad that he would be able to stay with his one real friend. As long as they both got into the Hero Course, at least.

Izuku and Shinsou were going to train at the Takoba Municipal Beach, the one that was covered with trash and liter. They were going to clear an area, and then they were going to spar with each other.

Neither one could fight very well, and they would have to fix that in order to get into the Hero Course.

Of course, it would have been better if they had someone who actually knew about fighting, but they didn't have the time to get something like that set up. The Sports Festival was in a week.

Yeah, a week to train. How very conveneint.

Midoriya was latching onto a broken safe with his talons and claws, using his wings to try and fly it up, and Shinsou was picking up a bunch of tires all at once.

It took them two days too clear out a small area, which was barely large enough for them to spar.

"Alright, let's start." Midoriya said, and Shinsou nodded. Midoriya wouldn't be using any of the deadlier aspects of his quirk, and Shinsou would fight completely quirkless, on the off chance that his quirk wouldn't work on his opponents.

Shinsou charged at Midoriya, who flew upwards with his strong wings last second. He swooped down, attempting to grab Shinsou in his talons, but Shinsou ran out of the way and jumped on top of Midoriya.

The sudden weight sent Midoriya flying down, and they both tumbled down, laughing.

"This time, can you.. not fly around? That wouldn't actually work on anyone other than you" Shinsou chuckled.

"Yeah, your right" Midoriya said, crawling away from Shinsou and standing up again. Shinsou stood up as well, and said, "let's try this again."

Midoriya nodded, swiping his claws at Shinsou, who ducked and tried to trip Midoriya by grabbing his feet. That ended with a talon too the face, causing Shinsou to let go and fall face first. Midoriya jumped onto his back and pinned Shinsou's arms together, "haha, I win!!" he cheered.

This went on for quite some time, although the boys treated it more like a game than actual training.
