Mark's POV

"wow, i can't believe it", i said, looking at christine. "you're so beautiful tonight." "yeah", she said,"i wore this just for you. do you like it?" "i do", i said as i was reaching out my hand towards her. "care to dance?"

"sure", she answered. as we were walking down to the center of the ball,my heart practically raced fast. by the time we reached the center, we started to dance. she was so graceful. i was lost by how she moved. "Mark", she said. "what is it christine?" i asked. " i have one thing to say to you", she said, with her face near mine.

"what?"

"wake up!"

"wha-?" suddenly, everything became blurry.

"wake up!" the voice said. it sounds familiar though.

"wake up, mark" it sounds like my mom.

"WAKE UP!" and i did. i saw my mom on my bed shaking me. it was only just a dream.

"what was it now mark?" mom asked. "prom", i said. "that's cute but honey, you will be late for school", mom said. after hearing that, i looked at my clock when it beeped the time. "6:30 huh. gotta keep moving", i thought. after that, i went to the bathroom, took a shower, put on my school clothes and went downstairs to eat my breakfast. "you almost woke up late for the first day of school", mom said. "yeah, i almost did", i replied. "you do realize that school starts at 7:30 and it's an hour of walk from here, don't you?" mom said. " i know mom, and this will never happen again", i said.

"so how's she?"

"who?"

"the girl"

"she's ok"

"i mean, did you already confess to her?"

"mom!"

"ok, ok i get you. now go so that you won't be late for school." "ok mom", i said, kissing her goodbye. "first day in my senior year in high school, here i come!", i said while running to the school.
