27 Attacks and Escapes

Athena's PoV

I felt another sharp pain shoot up my leg as the guy kicked me for the 1000th time. I was being tortured for the past 5 hours or so, to tell who I am. But they couldn't get anything out of me.

When I woke up, I realized that the bullet only scraped through my skin and didn't enter my shoulder. But it hurt like a bitch. From that time these idiots have been trying to get information out of me.

"Oh sweetie, never did I expect you to do something like this" I heard Luca's voice and then his footsteps coming towards me.

"Now let's make a deal shall we, you tell us who you are and who sent you, and we kill you without the torture, else you will be begging for death and still won't have it," Luca said, disgustingly close to me. My hands were chained to the ceiling and legs were tied too.

"Vete a la mierda," I said smirking. I knew my share of Spanish to piss him off. He looked taken back for a second by then I could see anger burning in his eyes. (Translation: Fuck off)

He leaned back and removed a pocket knife. I knew what was coming. I looked him in the eye and flashed my brightest smile as he scarped my arm with the knife. I could feel my warm blood flowing across my arm.

"You know what sweetie, the boss is very upset by your..your tomfoolery," He said standing up.

"no dejes que esta perra muera" He said to the two men and left. The guys continued their little game taking turns to try and break me. And before I knew it darkness engulfed me and I passed out again. (Translation: Don't let this bitch die)

"I can handle her, you stay out and ensure no one is coming," I heard a voice. "Are you sure you want to do this, your father will kill you" I heard another female voice. Ace and Angie.

"It's not new for him to kill his family dear, so I will be fine. You stay out" Ace said and I heard footsteps fading.

"I know you are awake, open your eyes now, " Ace said and I could hear him walk towards me. I opened my eyes and gasped. He looked different. He looked tired and weak. His hair was messy and his eyes had dark circles. His eyes were red.

"Are you okay?" I asked him as he caught my wrist. "You shouldn't be the one asking that love," He said. What was he doing? He is opening my hands. what?

As soon as he opened my hands, I fell on the ground. The chains were the only thing holding me on my legs. "Shit, what did they do to you" Ace mumbled holding me from falling down. He slowly placed me down on the ground and quickly untied my legs.

"I came back as soon as I got the news," He said handing me a bottle of water. What is he doing? Why is he doing this? I glared at the bottle and then at him.

"Don't worry love, it's not poisoned," He said and I took it and gulped the whole thing down.

"Okay, so we change your clothes and make you wear a wig, then I take you out, and then you are free to go," He said. I was shocked and it was probably evident on my face cause Ace started chuckling.

"Why?" I asked looking at him. He just smiled.

"You aren't doing anything wrong. My father deserves this. And stealing information would piss him off so much." He said. As soon as he said that, we heard guns firing in the background. Shit!

I saw him closing his eyes and rubbing his hands over his face. "It's not just stealing information, is it?" He asked looking at me intently. I nodded no.

"Angie take her out now" Ace shouted as Angie came running.

"But Ace, you have to get out, my people will..will kill you if you stay here," I said trying to get up. I know they won't, but I had to get them out.

"As much as I hate my father, I have to fight for my men. You can kill my father for all I care. But I have to fight with my men," Saying that he walked towards the room.

"I hope I can see you again sometime Lady Athena," He said before leaving. I felt my blood rush away from my brain. He knows. Who all knows about that? OMG! My head went to panic mode but was soon calmed when Angie spoke.

"Only he knows and me of course," She said lifting me up. "Why?" I asked her again. If he knew, why wouldn't he tell anyone.

"He wants his father gone way more than you do lady Athena," Angie said. "And he couldn't let you die," She said with a soft smile.

"Anyway, come on. We gotta get out of here before anyone sees us" She said making me stand. Every inch of my body was paining but I had to leave this place. With the little energy left, and with Angie's help, I managed to make it to the elevator.

I could hear gunshots on the top floor. I knew it was them. I heard a grande explode. "You guys have the best timing. Jim and his dogs, everyone is here today" Angie said smirking.

As we got closer to the first floor Angie pushed me behind her and loaded her gun. "When I say duck, duck okay," She said and I nodded. "Take this, just in case," She said handing me a pistol.

"They won't shoot you'' I said. "They are ordered to clear you and Ace," I said groaning. My shoulder was killing me. She looked at me with love in her eyes.

As soon as the door opened, all we could here were shots. Angie pulled me behind her while shooting anyone in the way.

"Athena" I heard a voice. I turned around to see Hunt running towards me.

"What did they do to you," He said taking a hold of my hand. "Shit, you're shot. We gotta get outta here. The other's will be out in 10mins" He said and I nodded.

"Come on," I said pulling Angie with me. "I can't come with you. Ace needs me there. I will miss you girl" She said and ran inside. I shouted behind her but Hunt pulled me out.

"They will be fine. Come on" He said. As we began running out, I felt a pain shoot up my leg, making me fall down.

I felt Hunt lift me and carry me. I looked at him and saw his eyes were filled to the brim. He had pain and anger in his eyes.

Soon we reached the car away from the house. Hunt placed me in and got in. "Now we wait," he said, not looking at me. Why wasn't he looking at me?

"Hunt" I whispered. "Hunter" I whispered again trying to hold his hand which he pulled away. What was wrong with him.

"Eva, did you get them?" He asked on the Bluetooth. "Noah got them, Jack is on his way. As soon as he comes, you leave. I will finish it here" I heard Eva's voice.

"Hunt," I said again, holding his hand but this time he didn't pull away.

I heard a whimper, he had tears flowing down is his face. "Do you have any idea how fucking scared I was? You left yourself behind, what the fuck were you thinking?" He yelled at me, breathing heavily.

I felt my lip quivering. Before I knew it, I felt him wrap his arms around me. "You promised me, you would be safe. You fucking promised me." He said and I just smiled, hugging me back, tears flowing down my face.

I started seeing dark spots and Hunt's voice was lowering. "Athena. Shit.." That's the last thing I heard before I passed out.
