It has been 31 days since Serena's death and Selina doesn't come back yet. A full month and she's still on that fucking island. I know because I might or might not checking on her every day.

"Better to be safe than sorry. You know we have to be sure she was fine with him around." My wolf says.

Him, it's Emmett. The former Beta of her Father's pack and yep he's still staying with her. I would like to know why. I just know I don't like that. Neither does my wolf. I can't for her to come back. I need to fix things between us. I need to seduce her and to make her fall in love with me. Something tells she will not make it easy for me.

"But we kind of deserve it." My wolf tells me.

"I know!" I reply shutting him out. He is so frustrating most of the time. At least he said we and not you.

Over the last month, I'm staying in my parents' house and it's kind of weird to live all together once again. I will not say like a family because everything is a mess. Lila is eating by her guilt and Fynn is still struggling with the truth. He knows that everything was fake but she messed up with his head big time! I wish I could kill Serena again for all the pains she gave us. What a selfish bitch! The worst is all she could have to say about Selina.

I forgave Fynn because I know it's not really his fault. He was not himself and after so many years under the influence of the Love potion, I can see the consequence on him. Now, my priority is to help him. I wanted to look for his mate because I think true love will help him but mom and dad think otherwise. And it will be not fair for his mate. Still, it's difficult to see him suffer so much. We all think the Love potion was destined to me not him. Even if I would have preferred for him to be not tricked like that, I'm grateful it's was not me. Using my appearance was her idea to hurt Selina more. And yes they had sex in her room, Fynn in my appearance.

We spoke about all the men they tricked. How they did and how Serena was flirting with them before sending them to Selina. With Alexis, they wanted to isolate her even more. They wanted her to not be able to trust anybody, not even her family. They didn't know about her... friendship with Tom. As for Tom, they wanted to turn the Primus Pack against the royal family as we all know it's one of the biggest allies. The same with Oleg, there were hoping that Nicolaï would kill her as he is known for his short temper. All of this for what? Futile reasons! When you see how many lives were broken. What a mess?

Last night, Fynn was crying in his room. He hated her but at the same time he feels so empty without her. She ruled his last 5 years so now he has to find his own purpose. What he really wants. But he needs to be able to forgive himself before to reconstruct himself. And this will take time. A lot of time. Serena should have suffered so much more before dying.

Anna-Lynn and Anton know everything about Fynn and they decided to protect him and to keep his involvement with Serena secret. He never asked to be involved and tricked like that. And they understand that. My parents are really grateful for that. Last time I saw them, they were looking tired too and have also a mess to fix. Moreover, a lot of people are asking questions about Selina and if she has really stepped down. And her absence is not helping. Hopefully, she will decide to come back soon. She needs to come back.

Tom and Emily have officially announced their mating. Both their parents were happy for them. I think my uncle and aunt were revealed that Tom had a second chance of love. They were surprised that he is already a Lycan but you can see true love in their eyes. They both look so happy together. I envy them, their love is so pure! The worst is I could have had all of this myself if I were not stupid and scared. Now I'm scared it's too late and I will not be able to fix things between us.

Dad spent the day out as he was summoned in the castle for an urgent meeting. He came back 30 minutes ago and with my mother, they are speaking animatedly in the kitchen. Time to know what happened and next I will go check on Selina.

"What's going on?" I ask, entering the kitchen.

"Do you want me to start with the good news of the bad news?" Dad replies.

"The good one."

"Selina is back." He says.

"So you don't have to go check on her anymore." Mom adds.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I say but they both look at me. They know I'm lying.

"What's the bad news?" I ask to change the subject.

Dad sighs before to say: "She will become the Queen on her 25 birthday as it was planned but a lot of people think she shouldn't rule without a mate. So she decided that she will go to a mate hunting. And the council agreed with her. "

"She has a mate!" I say.

"I know, I try to remind that but she refused to listen to me. She also said that she was the hunter not the prey and she will kill anyone who will hunt her."

"Great, just great!" I mutter.

"Fucking great. What are you going to do?" My wolf comments.

"Fight!" I reply to him

"I need to go. See you later." I tell them.

"Time to go speak with our little mate!" I say.

"Indeed!" My wolf agrees.

As I teleport myself in the castle focusing on Selina. I see her speaking with Tom and Emily. She has her back on me while I see Tom and Emily.

"I'm will think about it. I'm really honored." Tom says.

"So a mate hunting?" Emily asks after a silence.

"Yep! I need someone by my side." Selina replies.

"And how will you do the mate hunting?" Tom asks raising an eyebrow.

"I don't know. Traveling, partying. Enjoying my freedom the time it lasts."

"Enjoying?" He asks smiling.

"You have to kiss a lot of toads before you find the Prince Charming." She shrugs and Tom laughs.

I growl and they all know I'm here. Selina turns around to see me.

"Noah. What are you doing here?" She asks crossing her arms.

"I came to remind you, you already have a mate as you seem to forget." I tell her.

"No, I don't have or at least one that I want and desire. And I will not speak about that with you as we are nothing." She replies.

"We will see about that!" I say to my wolf and he agrees.

"I have to go. See you later." She says to Tom and Emily and leaving without looking at me once.

The three of us look at her leaving. When we don't see her anymore Emily turns toward me and says:

"I don't know if she will forgive you. She can be really stubborn."

"Good thing, I'm too!" I say.

"What are you going to do?" Tom asks me.

"Fight for her. Hunting her. You were right I was a coward but not anymore. No way I giving up on her!"

"Good to hear!" Tom says slapping me back. I can see approvement in his eyes.

"Good luck, you will need it!"Emily adds.

"I know. Any ideas?"

They both laughs.

"Nope! You're on your own." Tom says.

I look at them leaving. Tom looks so peaceful and happy. He really deserves that! One day, I will have the same with Selina!
