At age three,
Hannah was now a toddler, stumbling through the snow. "Mommy!" She screamed as she fell. Kenni ran to grab her as Rebecca smacked her gum. "No!" Hannah cried as her sister picked her up. Tears streamed down her little face. "I want Mommy!" Mrs. Cohen ran to grab the sobbing child.
One thing hadn't changed, she still hated Kenni.
Mrs. Cohen held onto Hannah, kissed her forehead, pushing back the white snow hat. "Rebecca, take your sister!"
The brunette popped her bubble of gum and gave her mom a look. "Give her to Kenni." She groaned.
Her mother couldn't get the words through her lips.
She hates Kenni, you know that.
Mrs. Cohen hoped it was just a phase but for three years, so far, she couldn't stand her sister. She only gave her daughter a look before Rebecca held Hannah. Rebecca blew a pale pink bubble and Hannah shoved her tiny fingers into it. She giggled as it popped on her sister's face.
"Thanks for that." Rebecca said, causing another giggle from Hannah. Hannah softened in Rebecca's arms. She still found peace there and soon fell asleep, like always.
Hannah Cohen wasn't like most toddlers. She embraced the darkness, and loved starry nights, she hated people who cried a lot.
