You've lived in Shadow Canyon your whole life. Since you are the only baker in town, you tend to be rather sociable, but can still be shy from time to time.
The other people tend to find your freshly made bread and sweets a blessing, since the area is always dark and cold.

But even running the bakery can get boring. Well, until today. Like everyone else in his empire, you worship the Fallen Titan. You've only seen him from a distance, never up close.
He always looked perfect in your eyes: the obsidian armor that seems to absorb the firelight, and his eyes! That eerie but oddly pretty amethyst color that always looked cool and calculated. Almost like he was always deep in thought.

You don't blame him. Running an entire empire seems like a nightmare, not that you'd ever admit that to him.
"Forgive me, are you still open?" You look over to see him standing there, at your bakery. In the flesh, armor and all.
Your heart nearly stops in shock.

"Er, uh, M-My Lord!" You stammer out, feeling like an idiot. You quickly bow, feeling your cheeks burning.
His laugh catches you off guard. "No need to do that, my Darkling. I'm just here to get some bread. The Ice and Sun Titans are visiting later tonight, and I want them to feel welcome."

"Of course, My Lord. What can I get you? It's on the house."
He smiles sweetly. "You are too kind. Just a few baguettes and those...um," he thinks to himself. "Stars above, I forgot the name of them. It's that sweet bread filled with pumpkin purée."
"The pumpkin turnovers?" You guess.

"Yes!" He sounds like a child who just found a pile of candy. "Those. They taste good."
"Well," you stammer, getting the bread ready in a basket. "It is a family recipe."
"You make them wonderfully. Oh, where are my manners? I've been eating your bread for years, and I don't even know your name."
"It's (Y/n), My Lord."

"(Y/n)...." Hearing him say your name makes your heart skip a beat. You see a phantom of a smile on his lips. "I'll remember that name."
"Here you are." You set the basket on the counter.
"Thank you, (Y/n). May the moon guide your way."
"Likewise." You say. He smiles again, then takes the basket and leaves.

You heave out a huge sigh of relief, calming your racing heart.

Later, while walking home, you finally see the Ice and Sun Titans exiting the Fallen one's temple.
They both look happy, at least.
"(Y/n)," You jump at the Fallen Titan's voice.

He melts out of the shadows, his purple eyes glowing softly in the moonlight. "I'm sorry," He smiles. "I did not mean to startle you. Going home, I assume?"
You nod.

"All right. I just wanted to check on you. The meeting went well, at least." He nods in the direction of the other Titan's retreating forms.
"Stay safe, (Y/n)," He croons, grabbing your hand and kissing the back of it. His grip is gentle, the armor cool to the touch. He lets go, the silver claws on each of his fingers shinning in the moonlight.

"I will visit you in the bakery tomorrow. The other Titans ate all of the turnovers!" He laughs. "I didn't even get to eat one."
"I'll make sure to bake more, My Lord." You say, smiling back. "Thank you, (Y/n). I need to go, duty calls. See you tomorrow?"
You nod. "See you tomorrow," you murmur.
With that, he's gone, melting back into the shadows.
