I put the stuff I needed for the gym in my backpack and headed out. When I moved here the first place I looked for was a gym. ''Hey coach" I greeted my trainer happily because I found peace here, there was music and machines that weirdly excited me. I bent down beside the thread mill to tie my laces so I wouldn't slip.I put on my air pods and began to do what relaxed me the most. The coach came around a few times when I couldn't use some of the equipment after all I'm still a little new to all this. I closed my locker in the changing and was all set to go back home when my phone rang from my bag. I looked at the screen to see who was calling and it was my sister Jaynie, the only reason she didn't move here was because she had already started college in Nigeria and my parents didn't want her to transfer. We are close at least we have a solid relationship but sometimes we don't see eye to eye. I didn't want to pick it up because I knew it would be something bad. We usually just snapchat. I picked the call reluctantly

Grace:HelloJaynie: How are you?Grace: I'm actually okay just finished from the gymJaynie: me too, ahhhhhhhhh we're so alikeGrace:  Indeed,so why did you callJaynie: Ummm Dad actually stopped giving me enough allowance and things are really getting toughGrace: I thought it was mum that gives you moneyJaynie: I haven't been able to reach her it seems like she's been ignoring me I don't know why, is she okay?Grace: she hardly around so I don't even know, but when I get home I'll ask.Jaynie: Okay take care

Its been long she asked me how I am and if its school my dad will not hesitate to give money so I guess my sister was buying drugs for her addict of a boyfriend. I just hope she doesn't get caught. I hung my bag on my shoulder and left the gym sending a smile to the coach. As I walked in silence I remember all those nights when my parents will have those serious arguments that could lead to them not talking foe days and I felt my eyes getting heavy gradually. I was in my street already and I wanted to stop at Annika's house but since my mum is around all she'll want me to do is chores. ''Grace,Grace'' I heard a familiar voice calling from behind me, I wasn't ready for any conversation but I still turned around because i'm way to nice to people. Micheal was jogging towards me, what does he want and is he following me then I remembered that he lives right here. ''Hey" he greeted with an impeccable smile on his face that could light me on fire. "why are you always smiling" I asked with all honesty in my eyes. ''I actually din't always smile, there's just something about you that makes me happy'' he said with this evil smirk plastered on his face. ''I don't know what you want right now but I have things to do so bye'' I grabbed my keys and went to my front door and Micheal sent a playful kiss to me before I entered. As I entered the house I saw my mum by the counter having breakfast, ''Good morning mum'' I said while grabbing some water from the fridge. She looked up at me as if I had failed my exams or something ''who was the boy'' she asked like she was disappointed. My parents don't think I am of age to have a boyfriend, my mum mostly but this wasn't what it even looked like. '' Mum he is Annika's cousin and this is just like the second time I am talking to him'' I explained to her as if I really had to after all I could just leave her with her assumptions I really don't care.'' I hope you know what you're doing and when you've had your breakfast clean the house it's too dirty for me to stay in'' she said as she went back to her room to sleep. I really like when she's not around, there's so much relief, she could just be a pain in the ass most of them time. At this point I didn't even feel like eating so i went to my room wore some comfortable cloths and came back down to clean. I went back to bed after cleaning and my darling mother who thinks I am not old enough to have a boy friend had left me alone at home again on a Saturday. I don't care what she thinks, I've dated guys behind her back but how will she know when she's actually not involved in my life. I put on a pair of sweat pants wore my slides and went next door. I wrong the bell and waited for Annika to open it but then Micheal did. I was kind of disappointed I just wanted to have girl time and probably watch Jane the Virgin. My friend and I had the same taste of series which just made the friendship way easier.''Hey Micheal, can I call you Mike because Micheal is too long and I am a very lazy person'' i said as i walked into the house. ''If you let me give you a ride to school on Monday, yes'' he said smiling at me '' You're setting yourself for danger'' I laughed at my words and went up to meet Annika. I went into her room and I saw she was watching something so I joined her and later we were join by Mike the only reason i let him stay was because he brought popcorn. After an hour or two my phone started vibrating, why exactly is someone calling me right now I thought, I hate phone calls, they're never good. I saw that it was my mum calling to I looked through the window and saw that her car so parked outside so I needed to go. "Ani my mum's back so I'm leaving" I said and left in sadness. I'm really not ready to be alone with my mother right now she could me a nightmare sometimes. I came home and saw my mum in the living room gesturing for me to join her. We watched some Black ish since my mother still thought I was a child and couldn't watch matured content. I thought to myself ''little does she know''. We both went to bed after having dinner.
