Chapter 18: Pinocchio

"The curse of Pinocchio is within your blood. The curse is awakening. You don't have much time, before you become a Pinocchio"

I gasped as I woke up, I looked at the clock, 3:15. I sighed and fell back on the bed

"Yah, nerd. You look like a zombie" Sehun teased

I rolled my eyes "Geez, thanks for noticing, Bubble Tea Frek" he glared and I faced the window

"Karelyn" I heard someone call me on English. I look back, and saw Kris ('*' when they're talking in English)

"*Yeah?" I said

"*Can I talk to you?" He asked

"*Aren't you doing that just now?" I said

"* I'm serious" he said. Whispers started booming out. I looked around, glares, stares welcomed me. I looked at him and nodded before standing up. Xiumin was entering the classroom, when he saw us.

"Where are you going?" He asked

"Don't worry hyung, I'll take care of your girl" Kris smirked and I rolled my eyes

"Bring my girl back, safe and sound, okay?" Xiumin warned and I gave him a what-the-heck-are-you-saying look

"Alright" Kris chuckled before walking out, me following behind. We reached an old classroom on the 4th floor

"How did you know I speak English?" I asked when Kris sat in one of the desks

"I overheard you talking with Baek" he said making my eyes widened

"W-wait, y-you heard?" I asked and he nodded. This is not good

"Actually, that's what I want to talk to you about" he said and I looked at him

"What's your real identity, Karelyn?" He asked

"Baekhyun said 'you should stop being a nerd'. You're close with him and D.O, with Lay too" he said

"I don't know what you're saying" I lied. I know exactly what he meant

"Are you- Wait, Karelyn, you're eyes are green" he gasped

"My what?" I asked. He pointed at my eyes

"Y-your e-eyes a-are g-green" he stuttered, frightened

I fetched my phone, my eyes widened, they are green

I suddenly remembered the warning from this morning 'the curse of Pinocchio'

"I-I can explain" I stuttered, wait can I?. He gulped

"Before I explain, could you get Lay?" I asked. He nodded and left. He soon came back with Lay

"Karelyn!" He exclaimed when he saw my eyes

"What happened?!" He asked

"P-pino-cchio" I stuttered

"Pinocchio? You became a Pinocchio?!" He asked and I nodded. He sighed and told me he had to go

I looked back at Kris and took a deep breath before explaining everything

"So, you're a wolf and a pinocchio, that when lies, your eyes turn green?" He repeated and I nodded

"Could you keep it a secret?" I pleaded and he sighed

"I'll help you" he smiled and I sighed in relief

We headed back to the classroom, I sat down qnd Xiumin held my hand under the desk. I flinched and his eyes widened

"What's wrong?" He asked

"Nothing" I smiled and he looked at me. I looked away, to the window. I saw my reflection, my eyes are green again. I looked at Kris through the window, he was looking, so was Lay. I ran out of the classroom

Xiumin's P.O.V

I was about to say something, when Karelyn's reflection caught my attention. Her eyes are green?! Karelyn ran out, Kris and Lay following soon. Did something happen?

"What's with them?" Baekhyun asked

"Did something happen?" D.O asked

My only answer"I got no idea"

What's wrong with them?

Karelyn's P.O.V

Of many things that could happen, my eyes had to turn green. It could be a hiccup or something. Why did it have to be my eyes?
