Chapter 2: Talking to 'it'

It took a step closer, as I took one step backwards, stumbling over and falling to the cold hard cement

It kept coming closer as I kept crawling backwards, until my back reached the wall. I patted it and silently cursed

I scarily look into it's eyes, seeing the intentions behind them

It look at me, as if it wants to hunt me. I shut my eyes closed, when it was face to face with me. I shut them tighter waiting for what's about to happen

"H-hey, o-open y-your e-eyes" a voice stuttered. I slowly opened my eyes, seeing the wolf sitting in front of me, with it's head tilted to the side, ears perked up

"H-hey, A-are you o-okay?" It asked and my eyes widened

"Y-you can talk?!" I shouted and it flinched, then groaned

"No shit, Sherlock" it mumbled

"But wait... aren't you supposed to eat me?" I asked

"I'm not just some wolf that eats humans"it replied

"You don't eat humans?" I asked

"Most wolfs do, but I don't" it said

I can't help but ask "Why?"

"Their meat disgust me. I can tell by the smell of humans" it said

"Oh" I said

"Don't worry, even if you smell nice, I won't eat you" it said and waved it's paw

"I what?" I asked confused

"You smell good, actually more than good. So good that I could eat you" it said

My eyes widened and I quickly stood up

"Don't freak out, I can tell if a person has good intentions or not" it waved it's paw again

It came closer to me and looked at my watch

"Crap..." it muttered

"What's wrong?" I asked

"I'm sorry, I need to get back by midnight" it said and ran away

I looked at it's silhouette and sight

I then found something shining on the floor, I kneeled down and picked it up (Collar in the media, but there's a pendant)

"Wow, this looks expensive" I muttered. I looked at it's heart shaped pendant 'KARELYN'

"Karelyn? Isn't that the nerd?" I mumbled but shrugged it off and placed it on my pocket

NEXT DAY

I kept looking at the collar in my hands. I looked at it's diamonds, as they shined with the sunlight

"Hyung, what's that?" Chen suddenly appeared out of nowhere

"U-uh?" I stuttered as I hid the collar

"Is that a collar?" He asked me

"What is?" I nervously said

"Don't hide it because I saw it" he said and took the collar

"Y-yah! Wait-"

"What are you doing?" A sterned voice said

I looked behind Chen and found Lay with a serious look

"Where did you get that collar?" He asked

"Uh? This? Xiumin Hying had this" Chen said

"Can I have it?" Lay asked

"Uh? Why would you want a dog's collar, Hyung?" Chen asked

"Just give it to me" Lay said

"Lay, do you know the owner of this collar?" I asked and he bit his lip, hesitating

"Y-yes" he said and my eyes widened

"Give it, so I can give it to it's owner" he said and Chen gave him the collar and left

Karelyn's P.O.V

"Damn it, where is it?" I mumbled

"Looking for this?" A voice from behind spoke

I turned around and sighed in relief when i found Lay with my collar

"Thank God" I mumbled and reached for it but he raised it. I looked at him

"Why were you with Hyung yesterday?" He asked

"None of your business, Zhang Yixing" I said and reached for it again

"You're my sister, your business is my business" he said

"Oh really? I thought you never considered me as your sister" I spat and took my collar. I placed it on my wrist and it went back to being a bracelet

"Karelyn" He called

"Forget it, Yixing" I said and left him

~FLASHBACK~

"Oppa, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry"

"Are you happy now?! You ruined my life, Karelyn! "

"Oppa, she only wanted your money. I can't just stand there and do nothing, while I watch my brother being fooled"

"Don't call me 'brother', you've always been a burden in my life"

"What do you mean, Oppa?"

"I never considered you as my sister"

Even though that was 10 years ago, it felt like it was just yesterday. I arrived to my classroom, not caring whatever was happening. It could be the end of the world and I wouldn't care

Apparently, I was too lost in my thought that I didn't notice the teacher calling me

"Karelyn" the teacher called

"Yes?" I said

"Since you weren't paying attention, come up to the front and do this exercise" she said

I stood up and did that god damn exercise. I handed the white marker back and lazily went back to my seat

Everyone looked at me amused. I just rolled my eyes

"Ms. Karelyn Kim, please pass by the principal's office"

'*gasp* Karelyn being called to the principal's office?!' There were whispers on why was I called, it was just some paperwork to do, jeez

"Would everyone just shut up?!" I shouted

"Are you jn your period?" Luhan, apparently the school's most popular guy, laughed, EXO M laughed. Except Lay

"I don't know, are you? Or did you get f*cked by someone? " I smirked and pointed to his red stained pants. His eyes widened and quickly covered it

"I guess you did" I smirked at him and left

Lay's P.O.V

I pissed her off badly. Karely is never like this unless she's mad. Oops, Sorry hyung
