Izuku's Backstory, Part 1

12 Years Ago, 2008...

" You're Quirkless "

" I'm sorry Izuku! "

" K-Kacchan, help!! "

Izuku called for help. He got it... but, it was too late. The people called out to him but he couldn't hear them very clearly. Then he realized why... he'd gone deaf.

It was a Monday. That Monday Izuku lost most, if not all, of his hearing. That was the worst birthday present he could've asked for.

It was late at night, around 10 pm. The sky was pitch black, the street lights, glowing abnormally bright that day. Izuku was walking home from the corner store with his best friend, Katsuki. With the current situation with Izuku having no quirk, Katsuki was his protector. Katsuki had a lot more control over his quirk now. He could make continuous big explosions for a full two minutes now without needing a break, this was a big improvement from needing to have a break every minute. Izuku's fifth birthday though, even with this protection, was a wreck.

10 Minutes Before...

The two boys were walking home together, hand in hand. Katsuki thought that if he kept Izuku closer, he would be safer, he was wrong.

It happened to be Izuku's fifth birthday. The two of them planned to have a superhero movie marathon with their parents, however, the two boys wanted more snacks. Izuku wanted sweets and popcorn, while, Katsuki wanted spicy Lucas candies with a soda. Their parents had told them that they would all go together to the corner store for the snacks but the two wanted a but more. They wanted to go alone, to be alone with one another.

Izuku, who would, later on, be deadly, was a gentle and well-mannered kid, and he still is. Izuku managed, with a lot of perseverance, to persuade the two mothers into letting the two of them go alone. However, there were conditions they needed to abide by. As long as they go to the corner store, which was a block away, and came back in 25 minutes they could go alone.

Of course, the two boys promptly agreed to these conditions and grabbed the money from their parents. Mitsuki had given Katsuki her phone, it would come in handy later. Afterward, they set off on their trek to the superhero-themed, corner store.

Present, 2009...

The two boys have known one another since they were born. Since their mothers were joined at the hip, it was inevitable that the two would meet and become inseparable. Since Katsuki was born first, he was able to lay on and feel Inko stomach whileIzuku was inside. Katsuki had formed a connection with Izuku before the kid was even born!

Even though they were young, they knew what it felt like to be alone. They knew what it felt like to want a person to be with them, school had taught them these lessons when Izuku was presented quirkless.

While they were holding hands, Katsuki was embarrassed but didn't pull away. Instead, he held on tighter because Izuku needed protection and that protection was Katsuki. Katsuki had rubbed the top of Izuku's hand and held the boy in a tight hug. Izuku's face was in his neck.
