A few months before

Something has changed between her and Jeong Hyeok, and Seri is still contemplating whether it is for the better or for the worse. They are at the stage of their relationship where every touch, no matter how innocent or fleeting, is loaded with potential for more. She more often than not finds herself having to take a moment to pull herself together because the man surely knows how to be a proper tease. Whenever he passes by her in the office, his fingers will subtly brush against her lower back, away from the eyes of potential witnesses and with just enough pressure to make her heart skitter. When he kisses her goodnight in the shadows of the train station, his lips will linger just a bit longer and his embraces just a bit tighter. His eyes clouded over with love and a touch of lust that leaves her wanting more. Damn those eyes. Most of the time, all he had to do is look at her, and she will find herself all over the place.

Seri, however, does not back down from a challenge and makes certain that she leaves him as frustrated as she is. She foregoes the tops she wears for modesty and works out only in a sports bra and leggings. She finds out about the sweet spot on his neck and deliberately touches or kisses it whenever the opportunity presents itself, and she earns her desired reaction every time. Whenever she feels his eyes on her in the office, she will slowly brush her hair back over her shoulder and flash him an innocent smile. It turns into a grin when he narrows his eyes at her in response, an indication that he knows what she is doing. But despite her effort, Jeong Hyeok still doesn't do anything about the tension between them.

Since the start of their relationship, he has always been the perfect gentleman. He holds doors open for her, pulls her chair out for her, carries anything heavy for her, and to her chagrin, restrains himself from doing anything too forward without her expressed consent. While the latter is admirable, her body is about to combust at the way he teases her just to the brink of pleasure then immediately pulling back before anything happens. Seri has had her fair share of boyfriends in the past, but she never once felt the overwhelming need to be intimate like she feels with Jeong Hyeok. If he can make her knees weak with just one kiss, she can only imagine what it will feel like to be with him that way. The thought invades her dreams at night and leaves her shivering and wanting with an ache between her thighs in the morning.

She finds the perfect window of opportunity when Jeong Hyeok asks her out on a date out of the blue on a random Wednesday. They are walking towards the train station with ice cream cones on hand, their steps slow and deliberate, neither in a hurry to part from the other. He brings up that he has two box seat tickets for an orchestra performance that Saturday and wants to know if she is interested to join him. The way he asked so shyly and unassumingly is so charming that she said yes without a second thought. She digs out the red dress she has been keeping in the back of her closet for a special occasion and plans out how she is going to seduce the man so hard that he won't know what hit him.

Saturday comes and she is awake before her morning alarm goes off. The time crawls torturously slow that she gives up on waiting and starts getting ready after lunch. She shaves her legs and puts on a hair mask and a face mask before soaking into a warm bubble bath. She lights up a scented candle for good measure. After taking a quick shower, she takes her time blow-drying her long hair and styling it in soft waves. The curling wand burns a finger or two and the whole process takes longer than she anticipated.

She is in the middle of applying the final swipe of her lipstick when Jeong Hyeok knocks on her bedroom door and tells her that he is just outside. With her heart drumming nervously, she wills herself to calm down before taking off her robe and slipping on her dress. The off-shoulder midi ends just below her knees and shows off her impressive hour-glass figure. She fastens her diamond drop earrings and matching bracelet before grabbing her black clutch from the bed.
