Sweat trickled down their bodies as they breathed heavily. Kenric's eyes widened in horror when he felt the pressure against his arm. He tried to break out of the lock, but he couldn't. "Kenric. . . Try! Don't give up!" William yelled.

Xahria clicked her tongue as she watched Kenric and Aubree in the ring. "She is going to kill him," Kreo muttered.

"Good, if it was you in the ring. She would've killed your ass long before," Elwen commented.

"No doubt."

Steven and William shared a look before Steven blew the whistle. "Times up." Aubree smirked, losing her strength. Kenric groaned, falling on the floor.

"Were you trying to break his arm, princess?" Startled, Aubree turned her head to see Rowen leaning against the pillar. He was watching them. Aubree rolled her eyes and went over to where the water bottles were. Rowen smirked, watching her. He was not expecting her to be this good in the ring.

"Awe. . . Princess looks badass when she's in the ring," Rowen added. "It would be more badass kicking your ass. Wanna join in the ring?" she asked. Rowen chuckled, shaking his head. "Would love to get kicked by you. But some other time."

William pointed his finger at Xahria and Kreo. "You two in the ring."

"And Kenric, you are retaking the lessons from Steven," William added. Aubree and Kenric moved away from the ring. Aubree's gaze went to Rowen, who was now talking with Elwen. He wore a simple white shirt with undone top bottoms and beige pants. Which indicates he is going to meet someone. His sapphire blue eyes shone in mischief when Elwen shook his head at whatever he had said.

"How the heck did you master it in two weeks?" Kenric asked. Aubree snapped out of her thoughts and took her gaze to Kenric. "There wasn't much to do. So, I decided to hit the basement every day."

"Ugh. . . You should've said that before. I would've asked to fight with Elwen."

"Boy, you gotta practice now," Steven said, patting Elwen's shoulder. "Okay."

"Hey, Steven. Is it okay if I leave early?" Aubree asked. Rowen made his way to where Aubree was. "Okay, are you going to work out tomorrow?"

"Yup."

"Cool." Aubree picked up her phone and bag, ready to leave. She has already told others, so she doesn't have to wait for them. As she was leaving, a hand caught hers. She looked at the hand and the owner.

"You're leaving?" Rowen's brows were frowned in confusion.

"Yes, got something to say?"

"Nada, I will drop you off at home." Aubree raised her brow. "I'm not going home."

Rowen shrugged his shoulders. "Give me the address."

"Sure."

Rowen glanced at Aubree. She was texting away on her phone. "Princess?"

"Hmm?"

"Why are you being distant?" Aubree stopped texting and looked at him. "What do you mean?"

"You know what I mean. I returned last night, and you didn't come to see me." Aubree clicked her tongue. Of course, she wanted to see him, but it would be better to skip meeting him.

"I was busy."

Rowen chuckled. "You used to be the one who would wait to see me every time I returned home." Aubree looked out of the window. She doesn't have an answer.
