"And sho I declare that, effecthive immediately," Grand Cardinal Ptolek spoke through a swollen lip and a few missing teeth, blinking through a left black eye, "Azthtedai Divine Edict 7391-024, that all Osh... Vfal... Oss'Val'Rei are abvominationssth that musth be exth-therminated, is hereby rendered complethley, uncondisthionallly, irrevocably null and void."
He slipped off a golden ring from his left hand and tapped it onto the translucent crystal slate that had his official declaration on it in glowing green letters. A mirror image of the Grand Cardinal's seal on the ring flashed to life on the slate.
"By the Excellence and Grace of our Sun God Azted," Ptolek smiled at the white baseball-sized orb on a golden rune-etched pole standing several feet before the table, as he pushed the slate off to his left on the marble table. "Thank you."
His entire speech had just been transmitted live throughout the Aztedai Dominion and the Independent Systems.
Aztedai acolytes came and took the slate and the orb-stand away.
"So, Masther Jet," Ptolek winced as he stood from the table and turned around, "what now –?"
His face dropped as he found himself alone on the main dais in the Aztedai Capital Temple ruins.

Jet's third shard fused at a common base between the two shards from Ptolek. These three newly fused shards in turn joined with Jet's first two already-fused shards, forming five points jutting out of a pentagonal base.
A blinding white halo burst forth, expanding for miles around.
Jet held the crystal in his hand as he floated in the void outside the Aztedai Capital system. He willed the crystal on, and an entire Universe exploded from it in an enormous sphere.
Countless stars, planets, nebulae, and galaxies reflected in Jet's teary eyes.
