Since forever

Part 6

Donna and Harvey are expecting a baby it's been already 8 months and  half that Donna has been pregnant so she would give birth to there daughter soon. They were so busy. Harvey has been very busy lately and Donna don't get enough time anymore to see.

Donna POV
It's been a few weeks that Harvey has been busy. He leaves home soon and comes late at night when I'm sleeping. I'm pregnant and all I need is him by my side and it seems like I'm in this alone. I decided to call Rachel to express my feelings.

Donna : "Hey Rachel, how are you doing?"
Rachel : " Hey Don, I'm good and you?"
Donna : " How is my little girl doing ?"
Rachel : " Oh Eliza? She's fine! She miss her aunt you know"
Donna : " Oh don't worry after giving birth she can come over to play with her niece."

Rachel : " that's a deal!"

There was a moment of silence on the phone.

Rachel : " So Donna I know that you don't call me always so randomly, tell me."

Donna : " I don't know Rach, it's been a few weeks now that I literally can't see Harvey anymore.  He's always busy he comes late at night. I don't know what's going on Rachel."

Rachel : " Oh Donna You should talk about it and express how you feel about this situation, like You're pregnant You're supposed to be in this together."

Donna : " I know Rachel, I'll try to talk to him. Thank you for listening to me.

Rachel : " Of course, Donna. I love you."
Donna : " I love you too Rachel. Bye"

After the call I decided to go sleep for a while so I can wake up when Harvey is home.

Next day
It was 9 at the morning. I realized that I've never woke up to see Harvey. I've must had been so tired. I heard a noise from Harvey's office. I decided to take a look. I saw Harvey preparing his bag.

Donna : " Hey Harv, when did you get home last night?"

Harvey : " oh I was there at 9pm but you were already asleep"

Donna : " Oh okay I wanted to talk you about something "

Harvey : " you have 2 minutes because I need to go to work"

Donna : " Waw now I get only to minutes a week to talk to my fiance?!"

Harvey looks confused at Donna because of her reaction.

Donna : " You know what Harvey?! I'm done keeping it for me. I think you just don't realize how hard it must has been for me. I'm caring our baby and I'm almost at labor and you where are you? Nowhere you prefer to go to work than just taking some tile to spend with me. I need you Harvey I need you so. Is that even normal ?"

Harvey : " Don-... I-..."

Donna : " Yeah you can't even say a thing anymore perfect"

Before Harvey tried to say something I started to feel something. It was a pain I've never had during my pregnancy, I started to yell because of the pain I didn't know what was happening.

Harvey : " Omg Donna ?! You okay?!"

Donna : " Harv...-"

Before I could finish my sentence I fainted and everything went dark.

Harvey POV
I was lost. I was panicking. I was so worried about Donna. I hope she will be fine. As soon as the doctor enter the room I asked her what was going on.

Harvey : " Doctor, what is going on?"
Doctor : " It seems like she's been through a lot of stress and overwhelmed with emotions and it had an influence on her pregnancy what caused her the pain she was feeling."

I realized that it was my fault. She had been dealing with this all on her own and I haven't been there for her.
Harvey : " Is the baby okay?"

Doctor : " Yes, the baby is fine and healty. He will be coming soon so you must prepare yourself.

Harvey : " Thank you doctor."

I've been thinking about everything. I was looking at her how she was resting. I'm the cause of this. I left her alone. I just needed to be away from her. I was scared, I thought I wouldn't make a good father. I'm afraid I'm not good enough for her. Suddenly Donna opened her eyes.

Donna : " Harv, w-where am I?"

Harvey : " Hey babe, you're in hospital. How are you feeling?"

Donna : " I'm feeling pregnant"

Harvey : " Yes you're" I said without hiding a smile. Even in hospital she is the Donna.

Donna : " What did happen?"

Harvey : " You have fainted. You've been through a lot stress and overwhelmed with emotions what cause the pain you were having suddenly." I said and I couldn't but start crying.

Donna : " Hey why are you crying?"

Harvey : " It's just I'm the reason why you're here Donna. It's because of me.

Donna : " No Harvey, it's because of the stress and overwhelmed with emotions "

Harvey : " No Donna the stress and emotions is because of me. I'm sorry Donna, I was jus -..."

Donna : " you were scared that weren't gonna be a good father and that you're not good enough for me. Well that's not true Harvey."

Harvey : " How did you know ?"

Donna : " Because I'm Donna and I know you"

Harvey : " I'm sorry Donna"

Donna : " It's okay, come here "

I made my way to Donna and lay next to her on the bed.

Donna : " You're gonna be the best dad a child could have and I'm the luckiest woman."

Harvey : " I love you"

Donna : " I love you too"
