Lydia's POV

Madness.
There's four hours till Drew's party and am cruising around the city in Cam's low rider.

We're on our way to Will's to get some shots of Andy doing kickflips in the new Three of Threes merch. Andy is probably mad at me right now because we only have a few days to upload the video. He has always been the type to plan and prepare before the due date so am really not being helpful right now.

I'm different though. Not like 2 Chainz but am definitely a fan of thrills. I enjoy working under pressure because it pushes my limits. Especially being a female. People telling me you can't do this. Why can't I? It's all love though. Just don't let other people's limitations get the best of you.

"Do you have a pre-roll?" Cam asks.

"Yeah." I answer.

It's just us in the whip. Top down. We're getting tons of air because Cam is really stepping on the gas.

"You better slow down because I can't light up the blunt with all this wind."

"Just trust your rrr-asta skills."

I lean towards the dashboard. I flick the lighter and the blunt is officially in rotation.

"I've got to ace these exams man. Cam you don't understand. My mom has been on me lately!
'Study.'
'No more TV.'
Cam I need this party."

"Just do your thing Lydia. You're a gem. Beauty and brains. Don't worry, once the hustle starts producing fruit she'll be calm. She just wants you to do something with your life you know?"

"Yeah I understand."

"A lot of these girls don't grind. The nigga provides."

I pass the blunt to Cam. He takes a deep pull and exhales through his nose. Then a French inhale.

"Or if she does grind, she's doesn't need a man."

We both laugh as we cruise down the Los Angeles boulevard. Cam is on 120 km/h. You can touch these speeds easy with a custom engine on your low rider. He owns a Chevrolet Impala 1972 model.  Classic.

"Exactly."

Cam passes it back.

"Let me ash it."
.
"You better. I can't pick up girls if you burn all my seats."

"I don't understand why boys keep their cars so neat. Do you do the same with your room?"

"You know my mama. Looking all fresh on the outside but going back to a rathole, she would never allow that. My clothes are all folded up. Dirty clothes where they are supposed to be. I'm good." Cam praises himself with a big smile and am just there smirking at him with a blunt to my lips.

"Seeing is believing."

"Just look at this haircut. Black boy magic. Lydia am clean! In fact, I should be on magazine covers."

"You wish."

It doesn't take too long for me to recognise the Escalade. I'm so dead right now.

"These guys are early."

"Cam what do you expect it's Andy."

"Yeah, weirdo."

Cam pulls up to Will's and kills the engine. We hop out. I take the last puff before I throw away the roach. I wouldn't smoke inside either way because there's a big 'No Smoking' sign on the door. I can bet the sign is honestly for the gang and not customers.

We're approaching the door. I stop for a second then I push the door.

All heads turn.

"Here we go." I whisper under my breath.
