As The. Body bag came out my ma house. I didn't know who it was.

My Mother?????

Or

My Brother?????

The Police came up to me and asked me would I come take a look at the body. As I was getting closer my body felt dead because I don't know who it is. As he unzipped the body bag I saw an unfamiliar face.

"Uhmm I don't know who this is sir. Sorry ". I said with a release of air.

I walked away n my mind was going crazy.
Where is my mother and brother..??

I asked the officer can I walk through the house. He let me in without saying anything.

"JD come with me" I yelled sadly

"Ight Shona here I come " he replied jogging towards the house.

As we entered the house it was bullet holes everywhere. All through the living room and kitchen. I started feeling tears form in my eyes but I told myself not to cry. Even though a couple of them fell anyways .

"SHONA u hear that" JD said out of no where.

"Nawl what is it."

"I hear someone crying"

We walk down the hallway to the jacket closet. The crying got louder. I stood there for a bit. Then I opened the door. There sitting in the corner with a blanket on her head was my mother.

"Maaaa!!!! Are u okay " I said so happy that I found her.

"Yea baby I'm okay. Do u know what happened here." She said shaking as me and JD helped her up.

"Yeah ma. But where is Brady though?" I said cutting her off.

"He should b sumwhere around here. Go look out back in the shed. He is always there" Ma Said

So I walk my mother outside to the ambulance just to make sure she is okay. While JD went in the back to go check on Brady or even If he back there.

JD POV

"A BRUH u back here" I said walking towards the storage.

Where this lil niggha at he better be back here if he ain't his sister gone go crazy. I open the door and Brady on the floor with a gun in his hand.

" I killed him. I killed him. I didn't mean to." He said rocking back and forth. Crying

"B come on and let's go. "

"No I can't ima go jail. I wont have a life I didn't.mean to. He pulled the gun on me and I did the same but I.shot him. "

"It's gonna be okay Brady. Man everyone makes bad choices . Put the gun.down and come on lets go."

Brady got up walked towards the doorof the shed. I turned around and saw Shona running to us.

"BRADY. Are you okay!!!!!!" Shona said as she was running towards us.

Shona Pov

"Lil Bru what happened" I said

"That's alot to tell.u . I just need your help hiding this gun." He said handing me the gun.

"I gotta homeboy that can.help u with that. Just give me the gun. Ill handle everything for u." JD said.

I looked at him crazy like who tf he know that can handle that. But I let it go. So JD Took the gun and put it in pants as we walked around the house to check on ma.

"Owee my baby Brady are you okay love?" My ma said giving Brady a hug.

"Yeah ma I'm good. Just need sum.rest." Brady replied.

"How bout u guys come stay with us tonight. We have enough room. " JD said looking at me.

I agreed because I didn't want them to stay at this house and someone comes back and worst stuff happens.

One of the police officers came up to us and asked who my.mother and brother is.

"I'm Maryanne Green the owner of this house here and this is my son Brady Green" my ma said tryna sound proper.

"Ma'am you can't stay her tonight. Do you have anywhere else to go tonight" the officer said.

She nodded and said " My daughter is taking us to her house".

"Officer which one of u are going to take us home " I said before he walked away.

"Yes Ma'am I will take you back to ur house. Just wait ten minutes " he said

We waited ten minutes in.total silence. He came back and showed us to the car. The ride was quite only thing u could hear was his radio making noise.

We made made it to our house. It still was dead silent. Until JD said "uhmm anyone hungry ill make pizza. "

"No I'm good ima go.to my room and watch some TV. " Brady said.

"Y'all know I'm good. I just need to go pray and rest." My ma said . Both.of them walking to their rooms. Leaving me and JD in the living room.

" I want some pizza baee" looking at JD.with a smirk.

He walked in the kitchen and opened the refrigerator. Staring at it for lik a minute. I walked up behind him and wrapped my arms around him.

"Baee you okay "

"Yeah shona I should be asking you that question" closing the refrigerator. Turning around looking me in my eyes.

"Well I'm okay baee. Its just life. And mines isn't all that perfect " looking down

"Baee I can't see how u can stay so strong through it all. Wateva happens you really don't let it get to you." JD Said picking my head back up.

"I know I don't. And its the best thing for me to do" I.got closer to him and hugged him tight as so he did to me too.

I pushed him back because I felt the gun pressing again my stomach.

"JD wat u gonna do with that gun" I said.

"Baee I got it" taking the gun and putting it in the locked cabinet. "Baee I got a surprise for you".

He picked me and carried me to our room. He laid me on the bed . And said "ima b right back baee" . What is this boy doing now. He walked out the room and ran down the hallways humming. I get up and peep down the hall and I see him in a closet making bags and stuff fall. I ran back to the bed so he wouldn't caught me. I wonder wat it is...

He come back in the room with his hands behind his back . I asked "wat u got there "

"Owe nothing "JD said running to the bathroom.
