Frisk's POV//

I hadn't realized just how late it had gotten. But I had been talking with Toriel for what seemed like ages.

Once I realized I was bored out of my mind and I wasn't gonna have anything to do until Toriel was back, I walked over to her shelf and just picked out a random book and started reading.

~

A few hours had passed since I had picked up the book, and I hadn't put it down since. I only had a few pages left and was determined to finish the book, but my body was telling me otherwise.

I felt super exhausted and realized the previous days' events were probably only now catching up with my body, and I felt just about ready to pass out.

Moments later, that's exactly what I did.

~

The night had gone by in a breeze, faster than the blink of an eye.

When I awoke, I was sprawled over the couch with the book I had been reading prior to passing out cold thrown on the floor.

I quickly picked it up and put it back in its place on Toriel's shelf.

Toriel.

I hadn't felt her when she came home last night. I assumed she was still sleeping because of how late she had gotten home and I decided to shower off my exhaustion.

Once I was out of the shower, I stupidly realized I didn't have any clean clothes. I reluctantly looked through the closet that was in the room Toriel said I could call my own.

I managed to find a pair of black leggings that fit pretty well, and a peach colored sweater that fit too tight; the sleeves were very long so they fit me fine, but the body of the sweater fit above my belly button. It was still very comfortable.

I put on my shoes and put my hair into a messy top bun and considered myself better than I was when I looked at myself in the mirror.

I made my way into the kitchen and decided to make pancakes for breakfast so that when Toriel woke up, she wouldn't have to worry about cooking.

And let me just say, saying that my pancakes turned out beautiful would be an understatement.

I cleaned up any messes that I had made while I cooked and I poured myself a glass of pineapple juice.

Pineapple juice, because orange juice is for the weak, Chara and I always said.

Suddenly, a wave of guilt flooded my mind as I thought about Chara. I had told her I would be right back. I told her to go on without me. I really hope she did go on without me and was back safely.

I ate my pancakes uncomfortably, probably because I couldn't stop thinking about Chara and her safety and well-being.

Once I finished, I decided to check on Toriel, as it was well into the afternoon and I hadn't heard a single sound from her room.

I slowly crept up to her door and did a couple of soft knocks. When I couldn't hear a thing, I called out to her.

"Toriel? Are you in there? It's me, Frisk."

Minutes passed and nobody answered.

I was starting to get nervous so I tried to wiggle the door handle and the door opened. I took a peek inside the dark room and tried to call out to her again.
