Mia's POV
Loud music was blaring the entire mansion as more and more people slowly started to fill in the mansion. There was a crowd of people who were dancing along to the music, people who are just standing around chit-chatting with one another, and then there's me, not knowing anyone else in here except for Sofia, Kyle, and Stella. I fidgeted around, once again pulling the hem of my bodycon dress.
"Mia, I'm just gonna be there hanging out with the others alright? Do you wanna tag along? I can introduce you to my friends." She smiled at me, holding my hands. "No, it's okay. I'll be fine here. Don't worry about me okay? Go ahead. I'll just call or text you if there's anything." I pushed her away from me, chuckling when she pouted and mouthed out 'sorry' to me.
I finished off the remaining fruit punch and took a huge bite off the cream puff that was prepared at the drinks and dessert counter. Just as I was swallowing the last bite of the cream puff, two familiar-looking guys came walking towards me. I squinted my eyes only to realize that it was Finn and Elijah.
Finn was wearing a leather jacket, with a black shirt underneath along with black ripped jeans paired with a pair of black boots. His hair was combed back, leaving a few strands hanging on his forehead. Elijah, on the other hand, was wearing something more formal, wearing a black blazer over a white top, paired with matching black pants and black shoes. I straightened up my back, as they were walking closer to me.
"Hey, Mia? Am I right?" Finn grinned at me. "Yes, and hi." I gave him a small smile, once again pulling the hems of my dress. I caught Elijah eyeing me up and down and I swear I saw him blushing, as his cheeks turns slightly red. 'Did he just blushed? Hm, probably just me.' I thought to myself.
Suddenly, Finn brought his hands to the side of my face and I was taken aback by his sudden gesture. He brushed off his thumb against the side of my lips, which got me flustered by the sudden closeness. I held my breath, not moving an inch as I feel my cheeks heating up. Upon seeing my reaction, Finn chuckled and moved a few steps back.
"Sorry, there was some cream right there. I mean I'm not that jerk to let you walk around with that cream on your face." He placed his hands in his pocket as he smiled sheepishly at me. "Oh, um....th..th..thanks." I stuttered. 'What is wrong with you Mia?' I mentally scolded myself. Now that it happened, I felt embarrassed to know that all along, I had leftover cream on my face.
"Nice seeing a familiar face around, not to sound creepy or anything but you look nice." Finn complimented as he scratched the back of his head. I blushed once more. "Th..thanks. You...um..you look good yourself." I stuttered once more and I swear at this very moment, all I want to do is to bury myself six feet deep into the ground.
"Are you here alone?" Finn asked as he looked around me. "Um no, I was actually with my friend, Sofia. She was the one who dragged me here. Though I would've preferred staying at home." I awkwardly chuckled as Finn smiled at me. Throughout, Elijah was just standing there, sipping what was probably wine in the glass that he was holding. I caught him staring at me as Finn and I were talking but as soon as we made eye contact, he would quickly look away, as if pretending to look elsewhere.
"Oh. Well Elijah here somehow managed to convince me to come to the party that Stella is hosting, I'm guessing you probably would've met her already. She's kind of a family friend if you get what I mean. Our parents know of each other. Plus after all, I guess I didn't regret coming over last minute." he blushed at the last sentence.
I nodded, surprised that he would actually start a conversation with an awkward girl like me. He probably pitied me somehow, seeing how others are hanging out with their friends while I'm just here, looking like an awkward potato.
