Elijah's POV

"Come on Finn. Just this one time." I pleaded for the hundredth time. Finn just sat there by my bedside, sighing again, looking annoyed.

"You do know better than anyone. Party's just not my thing." he sighed in frustration.

"Oh come on. Stella's hosting it anyways, I promise, it's just for this once." I walked to and fro my bedroom, trying to convince him to tag along. Well technically, I've never once offered to invite him to all the parties I've been to. I just thought he should have a little fun tonight rather than stressing about work stuffs. Plus, my mum's never allowing me to go out if she finds out I'm going for yet another party.

I looked at Finn with hopeful eyes. "Ugh, fine. But I'm only doing this for Stella. No other reasons." He said and with that, he walked out my room, and headed towards his own.

For the first time ever, I actually managed to convinced Finn to tag along to the party that Stella was hosting. Stella had been a family friend, so I guess Finn wouldn't have agreed on coming if it weren't for the fact that we both had known Stella since our teenage years. I punched my fist in the air, obviously feeling great that I managed to have Finn to tag along.

I got dressed and headed downstairs towards the kitchen to grab myself water. As I was waiting for Finn to get dressed, Mum approached me, probably intending to give me another lecture.

"And why are you suddenly all dressed up? Going somewhere again?" She said as she raised her eyebrows, with her arms crossed over her chest.

I sighed, "Off to a party. And, before you start lecturing me again, I'm bringing Finn along with me this time round." I said as I took another sip off the glass of water that I was holding.

"Don't you try to involve Finn into this lifestyle of yours young man." Mum said sternly, this time her brows were furrowed.

I combed my hair backwards, "Look Mum, Stella's the one hosting this party okay? She had invited, so it'll be rude if I didn't turn up for it." I said, placing the empty glass into the dishwasher.

"Stella? You mean Stella from the Owens family? Well, alright then. Send my regards to her and also, tell her she can come over for dinner anytime." My mum's pissed off look suddenly turns all bright and cheerful. 'I honestly don't get why you like Stella so much' I thought to myself.

I nodded and just in time, Finn came downstairs and we both headed out, off to the party.

"I know for sure I'm gonna regret this." Finn voiced out, sighing again and again.

"Well, regret it or not, you're already in my car. And, we're already on the way to the party. So..." I shrugged my eyebrows and smirked. He rolled his eyes and we sat in silence as we make our way to The Owen's family's mansion.

*arrival at the party*

"Oh if it's not Elijah and Finn," Stella beamed in happiness upon seeing us, "Hey guys!" Finn and I each gave her a hug and threw a smile at her.

"No offence but, I never thought I would see you here Finn." She chuckled as she looked at Finn, who gave me a side-eyed.

"I'm surprised myself. I mean, Finn, at a party? Well technically, I'm only here because you're the one hosting it Stella." Finn replied.

"Thanks for coming anyways guys." She smiled softly at us.

"I'm guessing both your parents are away on yet another business trip?" Finn asked in which she nodded, "I wouldn't be hosting this party if they were here Finn. That's pretty much an obvious answer to that question of yours."

"Mum sent her regards to you by the way. She said you can come over for dinner anytime." I finally voiced out.

"Oh, well tell Aunt Avery I'll come over whenever my schedule isn't so packed." She smiled again. I simply nodded and my eyes were already wandering around, searching for girls that I can easily flirt with. 'Once a playboy, always a playboy.' They said.

"I won't hold you guys back here. Well, hope you'll enjoy the party!" Stella said and with that, Finn and I both walked towards the living room area where there were a crowd of people, probably forming a dance floor.

While the rest of the crowd were busy either dancing around or just chilling with their group of friends, my eyes wandered around, and a familiar looking girl wearing this black & gold bodycon dress came into view and I diverted my attention towards her. She was just standing there, alone, not to mention, a mouth filled with that cream puff that she had just picked up.
