In circles

Life is good

Okay guys. I'm not sure how you are liking the book so far. Im not a real writer or anything . Mostly doing this as a hobby and for fun. In this chapter it will start with Aaliyah and Josh on their second date and then we are going to do a time jump. Not sure how big just whatever comes after I start writing . I'm trying to make the chapters a bit longer . Some of them will be shorter than others though . I hope you guys continue to read and give me feedback.

Aaliyah
"Come on now. You didn't tell me you could cook that good. That was amazing."

"I'm glad you liked it. I tried my best." Said Josh

"Boy who taught you how to cook like that?

"Growing up I watched my nana in the kitchen. She cooked all the time and for everybody.

"Wow. Well I'm glad you stayed in the kitchen with her. This was so delicious."

"Thank you gorgeous. You wanna watch that movie now?"

"Yeah sure."

They headed to the couch and cut the tv on to restart the movie he fell asleep on.
"Don't fall asleep now." Aaliyah said jokingly

"Oh I won't . Not with you here ." He chuckled

After the movie it was still a bit early so they decided to watch another one . He passed the remote to Aaliyah

"Here find us another one. I have to use the bathroom." He said while getting up and stretching his arms

"Okay, hurry back. I have another good one for you too see."

"Okay I'll make it quick."

As he walked away to the bathroom he could hear the flicking sound of the tv as Aaliyah shuffled through the movies. He was really enjoying her company tonight . It was so easy to be comfortable with her .

Walking back to the living room, he stopped at the fridge

"Do you want a bottle of water?"

"No I'm okay, come sit" she said patting the couch beside her

"I found a movie I really want you to see."

He walked to the couch and sat in his same spot. Close but not too close. By the end of the night Aaliyah was leaned with her head resting on his arm as the end credits went across the screen.

"Well that was a good one. I actually stayed awake the first time around." He said and laughed

"Yeah. This is about all I do after work if I'm not yelling at my sister for my house being a mess."

He smiled at her

"Well I better get going before it too late. I have to work in the morning." She sighed

"Let me walk you to the car. It's getting dark out."

They walked down the stairs of his apartment and towards the parking lot.

"I had a lot of fun tonight and dinner was great." Aaliyah said patting her tummy.

"Thanks. I did too. Have a safe drive back home."

"Okay I will. See you later." She said sticking her hand out the window to wave.

He watched her signal and leave the parking lot of his complex.

"Tonight was great" he said to himself
"Life is good."

Aaliyah:
Reminiscing on her night while sitting at the red light. She thought:
He was a sweetheart and she was actually falling for him. She knew that he was different because she was never the type to fall to fast for a guy. She always took her time. Josh was different. She could tell that he was learning her.
