Chapter 2

I smile as I take another sip of my drink I'm on my sixth cup and I'm a little more than tipsy to say the least.

I feel my cup being taken out of my hand from behind me "Alright you're done with that babe" JJ says to me I pout "JJ give it back" I say trying to reach up to get it "No you've had enough" he tells me and finishes it for me.

"Fine I'll just go get another" I tell him "Don't worry babe I already told John B to not give you any more drinks" he says to me as he puts his hands on my waist.

"JJ why I just want to have some fun and you're being such a buzzkill" I tell then my phone rings it was Rafe.

I accept it then I take a step back from JJ and look him right in the face as I answer.

"Hey Rafe what's up?" I ask smirking I can already see JJ getting pissed off. "Hey Jenna can you come over again tonight?" Rafe asks and I sigh while smiling "No I can't tonight I'm sorry love, I'm at a kegger right now" I tell him JJ clenches his jaw.

"Oh then when can you?" Rafe asks "Um I don't know maybe sometime this week" I tell him "Ok text me whenever you can come over. I'll talk to you later baby" he says "Talk to you later Rafe" I say then I hang up and place my phone in my back pocket.

"What was that about?" JJ asks I shrug "Oh nothing you need to worry about sunshine" I ruffle his hair.

As I'm about to walk away JJ grabs my wrist as pulls me back. He roughly grabs me by my waist. We just stand there our faces touching and his hot breath against my face.

"Yes?" I ask with a chuckle "Have I ever told you how beautiful you are?" He asks our foreheads still touching "Is that so?" I ask.

"Mmhm" he says licking his lips and looking me up and down.

"Hey guys" Kiara says and we jump apart "Am I interrupting something?" She asks.

"Nope" I say and JJ rests his hand on my lower back.

"Well I'm going to steal Jenna for a second" Kiara says she grabs my wrist and pulls me away from JJ.

"Dude" she says to me "What?" I ask laughing "You almost just kissed JJ! You- he- what?!" She says and I laugh harder "Things like that happen all the time" I remind her.

"That's not the point Jenna! You were right there like this" she says and holds her head up close to her face to show how close we were.

I smile "Kie" I sigh "Don't Kie me. You've liked JJ since middle school. You are making progress it's very slow but it's something" she stresses "Kie you're not sober let's have this conversation another time" I tell her.

"Actually I haven't had any drinks yet" she confesses "Well if we are going to have this conversation I need a few more drinks" I tell her and we both chuckle.

"So? You still hooking up with Rafe?" She asks and I nod "Don't you think that's a bit unhealthy. I mean hooking up with your ex. The same ex that you only dated to stop thinking about JJ" she reminds me "You would understand if you experienced it" I tell her she throws her head back in laughter.

I look around and see JJ all over another girl. "Of course" I mumble "I knew it wouldn't last long" I add.

JJ and I would go through cycles for a week he'll be all over me then he'll get with another girl for one night and he'd be hesitant with me for a while then he'll be all over me again. It didn't make sense to me.

John B walks over to us "Hey Jenna! Hey Kie!" He says walking over to us with two drinks in his hand.

He hands one to me "I thought JJ told you not to give me anymore?" I say taking a sip of what he gave me "He did but I know that you'll need some alcohol in your system" he says patting my shoulder.
