chapter four!
drew━ "Charlie! come on we're going to be late!" i yelled at the bathroom door and an elderly lady walks out glaring at me. "sorry ma'am, my sister's just taking a long time and we're going to miss our movie," i explained.
"didn't your mother ever teach ya' to use that inside voice god gave everyone?" she snapped and i apologized along with a, "yes ma'am," and she goes along her way. but i did hear her mumble "children these days don't have manners!"
charlie comes out of the bathroom about 5 minuets later right as madelyn text me that the movies about to start.
"could you have taken any longer in there? i got in trouble with an old lady, and why did you even need someone to go with you?" i complained and she just laughed at me. "big bro, you needed some old lady knowledge slapped into that small brain of yours. and if criminal minds has taught me anything, it's to never go to the bathroom by yourself!" i found myself glaring at her as a handed her drink off. "ha. ha. very funny."
as we are walking into our theater she whispers, "when you told me we were going out this morning, i thought we were going to go to like something fun, not a horror movie?" i snickered and she flicks my forehead. "sorry it wasn't my day to choose what we did chill!"
it was the only movie that had enough seats for all of us. jonas went home to spend time with his family and told us to go have a little bit of fun.
we climb up the stairs up to the top row of the theater where the whole peanut gallery was sitting. i had already claimed my seat in between austin and elaine by putting my rca vhs camera in the seat.
i bought it a couple months ago after i found out i was going to get the part, and charlie had decided to come with me.
the only other seat left for charlie was in between rudy and madelyn. i looked over and saw her talking to one of them. it may have been rudy since they only met like 5 hours ago.
she grabbed some of madeyns skittles and plopped down into her chair. then i'm pretty sure she threw a skittle at rudy.i really hope charlie and rudy get along okay. i don't see why they wouldn't, but charlie can be very protective of her emotions because of her past relationship.
I looked over one more time and elaine softly hit the upper part of my arm. "drew she's fine, look whose she's sitting with," she whispered and then laughed. "yeah your right," and with that the movie started.
★★★
the screen went black and the credits soon started rolling. the dimmed lights began to brighten, and elaine grabbed her white birkenstocks to put back on.
