Two years later.....

Abhay's POV :-

" Are you sure that she is the one?" I looked up close to the photograph in my hand. I highly believe that he got the wrong woman again.

" Yes sir... definitely. One hundred percent sure." The man in topic spoke triumphantly    holding his head high. Great in that way it will be easier to chop off his head by aiming for the neck standing tall too if he again failed this time.

" But this lady seems to be an actress and my Astha is far away from acting. Stop lying and do your job seriously man!" I am definitely sure that he is going to die on my hands today.

" Yes sir, she is infact actually a model and an actress. But believe me sir. I have her history with me. Look at this sir." He gave me a file with that magnificent face having a striking resemblance with my missing nope correction.. runaway fiancee on the top.

' Maya Fraser, daughter of Canadian business tycoon Dixon Fraser and lawyer Saraswati Gill Fraser. Model turned actress. Has also keen interest in financial matters and hope to run her family business some day. Graduated from University Of British Columbia with a dual degree of management studies. Is currently single.'

" How one earth did you came into conclusion that she is my Astha. Astha doesn't have parents for god sake...let alone billionaire parents!" I'm done with this man now...he is of no use.

" Sir but look at the photos please." He pleaded.

I look into the photos again. Some were of the lady's modelling photoshoot, films and others were from her family time. Sure she was exact carbon copy of Astha but something was different too. She is too bold, has vibrant outlook and style whereas my Astha is someone who loves to get blend in the background with somber colours and style. Moreover this girl in the picture has grey iris while my Astha has black iris as black as a black hole can be. One stare at those and you will get lost forever.

" She doesn't have a single photo from her college or for that matter from her school or childhood days. Also her childhood is not mentioned anywhere. I searched practically everywhere but there was none. Isn't it suspicious? And also she came into existence for the masses only two years back. Until then everyone was of the knowledge that the Fraser's had no offsprings." Now that got my attention.

" Who is that beauty?" Came my brother's voice whom from the last two years I started ignoring because of only one reason. He is the sole reason for what happened that night and behind Astha's disappearance.

" Why are you here?" I snapped.

" Whoa! Calm down man. I just came here to pay my dearest brother a visit. Is that a crime?" He showed a fake hurt expression.

" Just tell me why you are here... 'THE REAL REASON' and go."

" Nothing much serious." He said and joined my private detective on the seat besides him.
" Have any luck finding her?"

" Not your concern." Why he have to butt in everything?

" It is my concern. FYI she is my best friend too along with your wife...nope correction was to be wife." He said mockingly.

" Are you laughing at me?"

" Nope why will I? Besides you are boring and I have no interest in boring topic. What is interesting me now is this beauty in your hands. She is smoking hot isn't? Care to share her details." The same old playboy who drools even at the sight of something remotely feminine.

" She is out of your limits. Now get out before I call father and he starts giving you a lecture on how you are wasting your youth." His eyes widen at this. I know his sensitive points. I smirked.

" Okay, okay. No need to call Mogambo (a famous Indian villain). I am out." Saying this he literally left running like his ass was on fire. Now that soothed me a little. I then turned to my trusted detective.

" Book a flight to Canada. I am going tonight." With this I dismissed him.

How will you escape me this time Astha. I smiled and remembered the disastrous morning after that unexpected night.

////Flashback...
Two years back, at Abhay's Penthouse..

I woke up with a severe headache. I groaned. I must have over drank last night. I got up from my bed with discomfort. I need a strong coffee now. Thinking this I stepped towards the kitchen. I was half way preparing my coffee when my phone buzzed.

" Hello Ma. What happened? This is too early for you to call me. Is everything all right at home?" I asked panicking, massaging my already drumming head. She doesn't call me early morning.

" What? Abhay are you okay. Did you forgot that today is your wedding? We need you here for the pre-wedding rituals. Don't tell me you are still sleeping!" And then I remembered everything.

" Ma I am ready, will be there in a while. Have an important thing to do. Bye." I cut the line without waiting for her reply and went straight to my room.

I scanned for her but she was not there. I then scanned the entire place but still there was not a single sign of her presence. I sighed. What have I done? Until last morning everything was fine. I was going to marry the girl I love. Everyone was happy including my love. Celebrations were going on and then.... and then my jealousy happened. That damn thing ruined everything. Why? Why I am like this? God why did you made me like this? I rubbed my head frustrated. I need to find her. I will beg for her forgiveness. I will make her see that I will change. That I'm capable of changing. I will do everything if she is with me. I need her in my life. I will keep begging until she forgives me. And determined to bring her back in my life I started to her place. She must be there.

I smiled thinking of her ragging face. She might be seething in anger now. Last night when she showed her fierce determined side for the first time since we met, I was taken aback for a moment. My Astha too could be a cold queen if she wants to be. Smiling I pulled off my car at the parking lot of her apartment. Getting out I took a deep breath. You can do it Abhay. You can make her your's again. Remember that you are the man who never lose.

I rang the bell once, twice but no one answered. Then I remembered some scenes from some movies where the house owner hides the keys in the flower pot kept outside. I decided to try my luck here and dug my hands in the pot sitting on the floor besides the door. And lo! She did hide that in here. Smiling I lift it up and unlocked the door with it.

When I came inside I was immediately greeted by an abandoned house aura. Fear again started campaigning inside me.  Everything was as it is from last night. Not a single crease was straightened from the seats used by the guest last night. Astha might have gone straight to her room without noticing this mess, I comforted myself.

I went towards her room and knocked at the door. Again no reply. I opened the door and found the room to be completely empty. Drops of sweat started rolling down my face as realisation set in that Astha might have ran away. In less than eight hours the wedding is arranged. Guest might have already started coming to the venue. Not to forget about my family and relatives who are waiting for me to come so that they can get done with the remaining rituals and start the barat (a procession of many people dancing and singing their way to the wedding site).  What will I say to them? Moreover how will I live my life without Astha in it? My head started to spin.

I immediately called my detective and ordered him to search for her.

////End of flashback.

I was brought back to reality when my phone started ringing.

" Hello."

" Sir your flight has been confirmed."
