CHAPTER SIX
Morning Dilemma

It was summer when my parents died in a horrible car accident and I was the only one who survived from the strong impact of the crash, I was eight back then. When my Uncle FengMian visited me at the hospital, he explained to me the situation of my parents. I remembered that he told me that they are not coming back. I wasn't able to understand him since I was too shocked to comprehend the changes that starts to take place in my life back then... Not until, I attended the first funeral service of my parents. I was wearing all black, seated at the front row, staring at the two silver coffins in front of me. The guests who were coming to our family chapel were wearing the same colour of mine too. I heard them saying 'My condolences' or 'poor child they left him all alone, what will happen to him now?'

The situation that I am in was already awful, to hear them saying those words made me feel worst.

"Hey! Don't cry!" I looked up and my eyes met a strange kid in front of me, brows scrunched together, expression irritated. He arrogantly poses himself. I touched my cheek and feel the wetness on it.

"My Shijie told me that a boy who cries is a pansy."

Jiang Cheng was the boy who approached me. That was the first time that I met him and Shijie YanLi. My Uncle FengMian and my Mother is a distant relative of Jiang, but both of my parents are working under his company that's why their parents and mine became close. They took me in and since then, people recognized me as one of the Jiang siblings because of our closeness.

My dreams started when I was around fifteen, I remembered that it was different from my dreams I had before. I recalled that the scenery in my dreams settled back in Ancient China, were stories and myths of cultivation is at height. I was one of the cultivators though, as far as I can remember I studied in a place called 'Cloud Recess'. I wasn't the only one who is studying there, after that. Then my dreams became frequent, as if it's almost fragments of memories of someone.

"Shijie, recently, I am having a very odd dreams.." I whispered in confusion. "It was very strange because it feels like I was really there but in a different time."

I looked up to her. Her eyes encouraged me to speak more about it.

"At first, I was dreaming of my parents and the accident that happened... then, it changes into another scene; it was on different place and a different time. It was all peaceful and a pleasant dream then suddenly, it turns into a nightmare..."

I looked up to her and my eyes are wide, fear reflected on it. YanLi shot up from her seat.

"Shijie..." My lips quivered.

"I-I died."

I stopped talking.

"I will kill you!"

A voice suddenly whispered out of nowhere.

I looked up and my eyes searched for the owner of that voice.

"I curse you Wei Wuxian!"

My eyes scanned the whole area, I feel my cold sweat from my forehead and it ran down to my chin, my body started to numb, a sudden fear had crawled inside my heart, my breathing becomes heavy.

"Shijie, do you hear that?" I asked YanLi, she had this bewildered expression on her face.

I clutched my chest, I can't feel my legs they started to feel wobbly. I curled my self like a ball, I am having a panic attack.

"Hear what A'Xian?" She scanned the surroundings with her eyes. My eyes were wide in fright as I looked up to hear.

"T-the v-voices-" were my short reply. Shijie went to my side, and then slowly crouched beside me. She hugged me tight murmuring words that I can't comprehend.
