CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

JUST RIGHT

Jiang Cheng’s mother, his Auntie Yu or people commonly call her as ‘Madame Yu’ is known to be strict to all of her children, especially to her second child Jiang Cheng; since she’s expecting that Jiang Cheng will be the one who will be inheriting all the assets and the next CEO of the Yunmeng Jiang Shipping Lines. Wei Wuxian can’t help but feel sympathy for Jiang Cheng who shouldered all the pressure from his Mother all throughout his life.

Wei Wuxian turned his body fully towards Jiang Cheng and he sighed, “Then how was  it?”

Jiang Cheng clenched his jaw in displeasure, “The usual… She said I should do my best to get on the good side of the Lan Company because they are quite good investors.”

Wei Wuxian nodded and kept his mouth shut for a while, he was being reminded again that Jiang Cheng is now a trainee in Lan Company as per instructed by his Mother. His Father, Jiang FengMian cannot do against Madame Yu since he has always been a person who likes to avoid further argument and very soft-hearted just like their Shijie YanLi.

“Tsk.” Wei Wuxian said before he propped up then he crossed his leg while looking down on Jiang Cheng who is still lying on the bed,

“For once can’t you just turn off your cellphone when Auntie calls you so that you will not sulk here in my room?” Wei Wuxian teased Jiang Cheng.

Jiang Cheng pursed his lips then rolled his eyes at him, “Idiot, as if I can do that!”

Without any warning Jiang Cheng shot up his right arm then pushed Wei Wuxian off the bed then the silence room was disturbed by a loud ‘thud’.

“Jiang Cheng, You bastard!” Wei Wuxian said in hissed while he slowly got up from the floor, wincing while gently massaging his painful butt.

Jiang Cheng chuckled when he saw Wei Wuxian’s funny expression as he climbed once again on his bed, then once again. Jiang Cheng looked up to the ceiling and sighed.

“A’Cheng…” Wei Wuxian called his name softly and seriousness. Jiang Cheng turned his body towards Wei Wuxian’s side to properly look at him.

“I know that Aunt Yu has always been hard on you. Please be patient with her, don’t you ever think that you’re not doing well just because she always kept on nagging you over the phone or even at our family table… I just learned that, it’s just her own way of showing her affections to you… she wants you to be ready when your family company will be handed to you.”

Then Wei Wuxian flashed him a smile. “You’ll be fine A’Cheng… Shijie YanLi and I believe in you.”

The crease on Jiang Cheng’s forehead smoothened as he heard Wei Wuxian’s words. They may be always bickering and argue on trivial matters but when they need each other, Wei Wuxian is always there when he needs someone to talk to. His word can always be trusted, they may not be brothers by blood but deep inside, they are. It doesn’t matter to him if they are not related. The three of them has always got their each other’s back; their bond can’t be easily be broken.

“Thank you…” Jiang Cheng said in a soft tone.

Wei Wuxian’s eyes went wide when he saw Jiang Cheng’s expression became sentimental whem he looked up to him. He can’t help but tease him.

“Jiang Cheng!” Wei Wuxian said out loud then he rubbed his own shoulders as if he’s shivering from coldness. “I got goose bumps all over my body when you are looking at me like that!”
