Paige's POV :
Sharp pain edges everywhere. My shoulder, head, arms, legs and my back. Oh god my back. "Paige?" Brooke nudges my chin and I blink a few times. Right under the hospital light my eyes burn. "Oh Paige, are you okay?!" Mom cries out. She throws her arms around me and I shout. "Oh, sorry." "Are you feeling better, Paige?" Josh asks. I nod ever so gently and close my eyes again. "You better let her get some rest." Calls a female voice from across the room. "Bye sis." Brooke whispers. Then they all leave without a sound. "Here sweetie, take this." The nurse shoves two pills in my mouth and I swallow them with the water she gave me. Before I knew it, I was fast asleep.
Kendall's POV :
Me and my Mom open the door to the Grand Buffet in Myrtle Beach. Across the room, Maddie and Mackenzie are seated with their mom and Maliboo. Maliboo lets out a tiny bark and the Zieglers swivel their heads and smile. "Melissa! So good to see you!" Mom says. Then they go off talking about Paige and her injuries. "Did you hear about Paige?" Maddie whispers. "Yeah." I frown and then we walk over to get a plate. "I haven't gotten a chance to text her yet." I say. "Me neither." "We sure are horrible friends!" I giggle softly. "Where's Ryleigh and Charlotte?" "Ry has a football game she has to cheer for and Char has some party." I explain. My sisters sure were up and about. Maddie and I pile our plates high with many gourmet foods and desserts. "Mmm." She says at the table. "OMG the chicken wings are perfection!" I say, licking my fingers. We laugh and finish our HUGE buffet. "Man, I'm SO stuffed." "Same." Maddie mumbles. "C'mon girls we're going to the hotel." Maddie's Mom says. We say our goodbyes for now and drive off.
