Paige's POV :
"Brooke, wake up." I snap at my sister. She immediately shrugs awake and hops out of the car. After 5 hours of driving, I thought we needed a snack. Or a lunch. Or a cow. "Seriously?" Brooke rasps. "McDonalds was the best you could do?" "Well it's not like there's some sort of gourmet restaurant right off the highway." Mom says, pushing open the door. Brooke scowls at the menu. Mom walks up to the register and says, "Hello, we'd like 3 Big Macs, a large double shot coffee, a 20 pc chicken nugget, large fries, and 2 large Cokes." The cashier peers at us from under her visor and reluctantly takes our orders. I notice her and speak up. "We've been on a 5 hour car trip, we should be hungry. The woman shrugs and brings us our 2 large paper bags. Even Brooke seemed glad to see food. And then we spent almost and hour eating food. At least we were more than halfway.
Nia's POV :
My stomach churned, making an unpleasant noise. "I'm so hungry." I groaned. "Don't worry, we're almost by the exit." Mom said. The blades of sunlight shot through the car, heating it up. We still had halfway to go. Even though my mom told me a good amount of times that Chloe, Kendall, Maddie, and Mackenzie wouldn't have fun without me, I worried. Every day at the dance studio, I watch them chat to each other and get assigned solos. I was an Underdog, I guess you could say, referring to my solo, which took centuries trying to get. And I placed 4th. I shake my thoughts away and pull out my book to read.
Brooke's POV :
I stared into my lap, at the small lump on my belly. Paige swoons over more french fries across the table and I turn my head away in distaste. Mom taps her long nails on her phone, barely finishing her food. "Mom, come one, eat a little." Paige muffles with a mouth full of french fries and chicken nuggets. I wrinkle my nose and silently agree. "Well I'm trying to get a good hotel deal." We roll our eyes in unison as if we were thinking the same thing. Our mom, is a total hunt down shopper. She tries to get a good deal on everything. I don't blame her, vacations can get pricey, but she's an ultimate hunger back in Pittsburg. It annoys me sometimes.

Like, wouldn't $50 make sense for a cute dress at the mall?
