Staring out he window at the dark sky, I am at a loss. After losing my memories, I thought the more I find out about those months, the clearer things would become.
Unfortunately, the more I learn, the more questions I get about what happened.
Everything has changed so much.
Listening to the rush of wind from the air conditioner, I look out at a black bird flying over to the nearby tree.
For some reason, I can't help but thinking this has something to do with my father's death and his best friend Christopher Love. There is only one person I think I can talk to about this.
Oceana Falls

I clench my fists, trying to hide my excitement as Doctor Winston looks over my injuries two weeks later.
"So, am I free to go?" I ask hopefully.
I need to visit Cea as soon as possible.
I need to get answers.
Grayson Black is never left in the dark.
Never.
"Well," Doctor Winston continues, taking off his silver-rimmed glasses to look at me. "If you come back for check ups about your memory loss, you should be good to go."
I can't stop the smile that fills my face as I assure him I'll have my check ups done if he lets me leave.
Cea.
My feet couldn't move any faster as I race down the halls toward the exit.
Towards my freedom.
Towards the answers.
Disappointment weights on my chest as Doctor Winston calls out to me.
What now?
"Grayson, I was wondering if you've seen my phone around the room anywhere," he says as he furrows his grey eyebrows."I can't seem to find it."
"No idea," I smirk as I turn and walk through the door with confident strides.
I'll finally get answers.
Shoving my hands into my pockets, I can't stop the grin on my face as I march towards the prison.
Cea, I'm coming for answers.
"It's you," a deep voice angrily pulls me out of my trance.
When I turn to look at the person, I am met with an olive-coloured first to my face.
"What was that for?" I grunt out angrily.
Stumbling back, I manage to catch my balance, holding my croaked bleeding nose. I meet steely navy blue eyes with my own hard glare.
Crap. I freeze.
I forgot about him.
"Do you think I'm stupid, Grayson," he says marching towards me. "You of all people should know not to mess with me, or you will regret that day."
Me of all people?
"Do I know you," I ask as I force myself to take a step forward.
"No," he chuckles humorlessly, "but I did know your father: Xavier Black."
My Father.
Does this person know something about his death?
"How did you know him?" I snap.
The dark-haired boy just continues to smirk and step towards me.
"It's Axel Mendez," he leans down his tall frame to whisper in my ear. "You better watch your back," he continues harshly.
I stand frozen as he roughly bumps his shoulder with mine as he walks away.
I want to find out about my father's death now more than ever. I take a deep breath, gathering my thoughts as I continue my journey along the deserted road.
Oceana is my girlfriend, but she killed my father, although there still isn't any evidence.
My Father's best friend is Christopher and Oceana's father, but Mae shot me according to Cea.
Oceana and Vivian don't truth Christopher and Axel seems to be enemies with my father. He is a Mendez after all, our biggest competition in the business.
Cea and her mother have a terrible relationship for some reason and Oceana keeps changing her name. In America, she called herself Thea Whyte, but when I saw her again in Europe, she said her name was Hiedi Williams.
How much times has she changed her name? And why?
From what I have seen, Christopher wants her dead for some reason.
Is she running away?
Why would he want to kill one daughter but not the other?
"Good morning, Grayson," the Officer greet. "Here to see Oceana Falls?" he continues.
I nod stiffly as he looks down at the computer with polite smile. Shifting my weight for one leg to the other, I shove my hands in my dark jean pockets.
Hurry up, dude.
"It says that she's been bailed out," he informs me with furrowed eyebrows.
No.
"Look again," I snap, leaning over his desk.
She can't be gone.
"She isn't here," he states firmly.
No.
I angrily reach over to turn the monitor to me.
No.
She can't be gone. Not yet.
No.
No.

Dear Readers,
I just wanted to thank you all for all your support. Every single read, vote and comment makes me so happy.
On a serious note, the next chapter contains conversations of violence and death. If you are not comfortable with this, I advise you to skip to the end of the chapter where I will give a short overview on what the chapter contained.
Lots of Love,
