My blood runs cold when I see that the monitor confirms the Officer's claims. The room falls silent as I star wide-eyed at the screen.

"She's gone," I whisper softly through my shock.

"That's what I was saying," the Officer replies calmly.

I don't react when he stiffly removes my grip from the monitor and turns it towards himself.

"She's been bailed out since last week," he informs me.

Last week.

She's been out for a week and she didn't come to see me. Why?

I stay silent at the news.

"Who," I whisper softly. "Who bailed her out?"

"It says here, that it was her father," he responds.

"Chistopher Love," we both say.

With a racing heart, I force the question past my lips.

"Why was she in jail?"

My heart stops at his response.

"Murder."

That one word weakens my knees as I stumble back into a nearby chair in shock.

Murder.

So it's true.

I refused to believe it at first but-No. 

There's no way.

"Where's the proof," I snarl.

The Officer sighs as he prepares himself for a long speech.

"There was a video sent in by an anonymous person. She shot the well-known business man, Xavier Black I think. I really shouldn't be telling you all this -but I think I have to, to keep you safe. Away from her. I can show you the video. Besides, even if there wasn't any proof, she would have still ended up in jail," he takes a breath.

"Eight months ago, she killed a boy: Brian Stone, punctured the poor boy's lungs. About four months later, after three months in juvie, she was arrested again for murder. Her adopted family, her father: Matt Stone and brothers Brandon and Hayden Stone. Matt was shot in the head, Brandon was choked to death and Hayden was disfigured with a pocket knife in his chest. After a tip off from Christopher Love, we rushed to the scene to see her pulling the knife out of Hayden." he shook his head in disappointment.

"Someone bailed her out with almost a million dollars. Xavier's son. Boy, I feel sorry for that kid. Some thanks for saving her, huh? She's always gotten out of jail one way or another. Sometimes I wish she would just die, you know what I mean?" he chuckles.

With an angry growl, I imprint my fist in his face before storming out in anger.

I don't believe it.

Cea is not a monster.

Those sound like things Christopher would do.

 Not Cea.

Not my beautiful Cea.

I refuse to believe it.

Sure she punctured Brian's lungs and shot my father.

But disfiguration? Choking someone to death?

She's not that cruel.

Plus, they didn't actually see her kill them. Just pulling out the knife.

Who knows? She could have been saving them.

Christopher hates her.

Every event could have been a set-up. But why would he do that?

And then bail her out?

Why is Christopher involved in every situation?

My father's death.

Was he involved in that too, sure they are best friends, but I wouldn't put it past him.

Although I never believe Vivian, I cannot ignore her warning.

"And please Grayson, whatever you do,
don't trust Christopher Love."

Vivian.

Was she there when my father died?

"Don't blame her. Congratulate her for killing him.
In the end, his death eased the lives of so many, even by a bit."

How is his death a good thing?

Was she talking about her life?

I have to see her.

I have to ask her to explain everything.

I have to know.

Pushing my legs past their limit, I run in the direction of Vivian-Rose's house. She knows what happened.

I can't ask Cea, so I have to trust Vivian on this.

Who is the instigator of the terrible events from the Forgotten Four Months?

I'm in such a rush, I pay no attention when I see the door wide open. Rushing in, I run to Vivian's bedroom and freeze.

Her fluffy white carpet is stained with her blood.

Her blood.

In the midst of the vast red mass is her body. Rushing to cheek her pulse, I stop breathing as I re-evaluate the situation.

In the midst of the red mass is her dead body.

"I'm not afraid of you," a voice growls out from down the hall.

My body officially ices over as I register the voice.

Overview

In this chapter, the Officer explains that Oceana was bailed out by her father: Christopher Love for a week now and that she was in jail for murder. There is a video from an anonymous person as proof.

The Officer explains that she would have been in jail anyway for the death of Brian Stone and her adopted family: Matt Stone ( the father) and her brothers: Brandon and Hayden. He mentions that she was bailed out by Xavier Black's son for about a million dollars.

Grayson refuses to believe this and gets angry when the Officer wishes for her death. He finds himself headed to Vivian-Rose's house for answers and is shocked by what he sees.

Vivian is dead and Oceana is just down the hall.
