The day that Abraham finally threw me out of The Delegation started out like any other day. We were again traveling on the bus. We had just finished a show and we were all sitting up toward the front. The atmosphere still crackled with tension. The band members were clearly getting tired of this whole situation and mostly ignoring me. I'm sure they wished I'd leave so that peace could reign in their world once again.

No single discussion or event sparked Abraham's anger, but his blood was boiling. Looking back on that day, I'm guessing that he had been obsessing over the possibility that Adonis and I were still sneaking around, and he just couldn't take it anymore.

For whatever reason, as we were driving home from the show, Abraham hit the brakes, and pulled the bus over to the side of the road.

"Okay! Everybody off the bus!" He yelled, quickly getting up from the drivers seat.

I remember Joe speaking up and saying, "What's going on?" but Abraham ignored him and kept yelling.

"Get off the bus. Get off! You, stay in. You, stay in. You, get off." Abraham said, pointing to specific people and kicking them off, essentially just leaving me, Adonis, Mercedes, Angelo, and Marcella on the bus.

He marched to the back of the bus where Adonis and I were standing and talking and stopped right in front of us.

"This is over right now." Abraham fussed, looking dead at the both us.

"What are you talking about, Pops?" Adonis said, with a guarded and serious tone.

"This. You and her. It's over." Abraham repeated himself, his stern finger pointing between me and Adonis.

Stupidly, I decided to butt in.

"Abraham, you can't tell us what to do-"

"I can tell you anything I wanna tell you!" He barked at us, cutting me off and making everyone flinch. "You don't think I know who you are? I come from the streets. I know a good-for-nothing whore when I see one."

"Aye! Pops! Don't talk to her like that!" Adonis yelled back at his father, as I ignored the rude comment Abraham threw my way.

"I can say anything I wanna say to her!" Abraham yelled back. "I'm not gonna have this in my family! Now, let's just get one thing straight. You're not to see each other like this again."

Adonis glared at his father as he said, "I'm not agreeing to shit!" He began to storm away to the front lounge, all of us following in tow.
