As soon as we got back to the house, I trudded to the guest room and flopped on the bed, with my clothes still on. I felt Ed's presence behind me, so I rested my back against the head board and patted the place next to me. He thought for a moment and sat next to me.
"You still okay, about what happened?" he asked, concerned.
"Yes, thanks again for coming to see my search turn in a different direction."
"Its going to be okay, as long as I'm heard, everything will be."
I smiled and looked into his blue eyes, I reached for his hand and our fingers intertwined together. I rested my head on his shoulder, smelling his scent made me feel at home. Home... oh my gosh, Dylan!
"Dylan!" I snapped my head up from his neck.
"Oh God," he mutted, untangling our hands and rubbing his against his face.
I quickly got to my feet and then started pacing. "Oh my gosh, she is going to kill me. They're all going to kill me! What if she comes home, and those guys are waiting there and they kidnap her. Or killed her. Or worse fed her to giant spiders!"
"Annie, calm down. I don't think spider eat people."
"Giant spiders, eat people!"
"Annie, just call her. See if she is okay."
I nodded, I took my phone out of my pocket and started to dial Dylan's number. After a few rings, she picked up and I breathed.
"Hey, Annie! Miss me already?" she asked.
"Yes, just whatever you do, don't go back to the apartment," I pleaded.
"Wait why?"
"Just don't..."
"Annie, tell me what happened. I know you're lying."
I swore inside my head, hoping she couldn't read my mind. I breathed and continued.
"Um...So I went to work a few days ago and Ed was playing and some men were trying to kidnap me so, I kneed some guy in the stomach. And then Ed and I ran into the kitchen and they started shooting at us and then Stevie knocked them out like Rapunzel style and then Ed and I ran away."
"WHAT?!?!" She literally screamed in my ear.
"Its no big deal."
"Annie! It is a freaking big deal! You could have died!"
"But I didn't!" I tried to tell her.
"Put Ed on the phone," she demanded.
"Dyl..." I started.
"Put...Ed...On...The...Phone!" She said very strained. Sighing, I hand the phone to Ed, who gave a questioning look and took the phone from my hand. I sat down next to him and watched, closely.
"Hey, Dyl!" he greeted like nothing was going on. I could hear Dylan speak to him, sounding very angry. I grabbed onto his hand and squeezed it, hopefully that he wouldn't be bothered by whatever Dylan was saying.
"Dylan, I'm not going to do anything stupid.... Come on that was one time... I promise that I will keep her safe."
He listened closely and nodded a little bit. He looked up at me with fear in his eyes as he said bye to her and hung up the phone.
"So?" I asked.
"You're going to Paris," he stated, swiftly, getting to his feet and out hands slipping apart.
"What?" I questioned him, getting to my feet also.
"She, Dylan doesn't trust me. She believes that I will get you hurt, after what I did."
"Ed, don't listen to her. She is just overreacting."
"I agree with her, you should not be around me. I just draw too much attention to you."
"No, Ed, please!" I begged him.
He placed his hands on my arms, sadness in his eyes and it looked like he was close to tears.
"I do care about you, Annie. I really do and I think that I do way too much that I should just let you go."
"You're not serious, are you?" This is starting to seem like some scene in New Moon where Edward leaves Bella in the woods where she is numb for months.
He shock his head slightly, "I'm taking you to the train station tomorrow morning and Dylan is going to meet you there. There is nothing else I can do, because if do something else, she is going to chop my head off and place it over the fire place."
As much as I wanted to joke with him, I wasn't in the mood to. I haven't been sure about anything, but Ed was the only thing I was sure about.
"But, am I ever going to see you again?" I asked.
"Of course, Annie, of course. But it won't be for a while."
"Wait, what?"
"I'm going on tour."
"Since when?"
"For the past couple of months. I'm leaving the day after tomorrow."
"Why didn't you tell me this? I...Now I feel like that I was keeping you from it," I stated backing away from him.
"No, Annie, ever since I met you, I kind of completly forgot about it. Its my fault, that I forgot."
"So I guess its my fault that I made you forget?"
"Annie, no, its not like that..."
"No, you made it quite clear. You probably should not have helped me since I'm keeping you away from your dreams." I grabbed the only small amount of clothes that I had and sutffed it into the duffel bag that laid on the bed.
"An, what are you doing?" he asked.
"I'm going to Paris, and you're going to get ready for your tour."
"Please, Annie..." he said quietly.
"Ed, I'm sorry, but that is the only choice."
"But why are you doing this."
I stopped packing and looked at him,"Ed, for my whole life I dreamt of finding my parents. And I'm on my way to that. And you, you already have your dream happening for you and you shouldn't throw it away because of some worthless orphan."
"Annie, don't say that about yourself."
"Isn't it true? I'm just some stupid orphan that can't even find anything about her family. And you, you just get everything you want." I zipped up the bag, hiked it up on my shoulder and headed to the door, but he stopped me grabbing my arm. "Let go, Ed."
"Please don't go, just not yet."
"No, goodbye Ed." I ripped my arm out of his grasped and exited out of the room and walked toward the front door, but stopped as I saw the twins standing there.
"Where are you going?" Luke asked.
"I'm leaving, I'm going to visit my friend in Paris," I told them.
"Why were you and Uncle Eddie fighting?" May asked.
"We had a disagreement, I'm sorry you had to hear that."
"Please don't go! You and Uncle Eddie are s'pose to live happily ever after!" May cried.
"I'm sorry sweetheart, but Uncle Eddie might need to find a different princess. I'm so sorry," I tried to comfort her. I gave them both a hug and looked at Ed for the last time. His eyes were lowered and looked sad, his shoulders slumped over. I turned my back to him and exited the house. With the bag over my shoulder, I headed towards town, praying it wasn't far away and getting a cab and to the train station from there.
SO sorry that I don't know who to dedicate this to since I lost track! So first to either comment, fan or vote for this story will get a dedication next chapter. Happy Thanksgiving!
