I had gotten home later that night at about 8. Ed, being the gentleman that he is, walked me back to my apartment (not to the building that was 3 minutes from the cafe, but up the elevator and right outside my apartment). After he had found my birth certificate, we planned on trying to find them but until then we talked like we have known each other for years. He was very charming and not at all what I expected of a famous singer. After I said goodnight, I couldn't wait until when I could see him again. I watched as he disappeared into the elevator and watch the door close, I couldn't help but smile like an idiot at where he had stood, right in front of me. I placed my key into the locked, twisting the key to the side and opening up the door. I stepped in, closing the door behind me and leaned against it, still smiling.
"I see someone is a happy little girl," I heard Dylan say in the living room. I noticed her on the couch, curled up with a bowl of popcorn watching something on the Television.
"Oh am I not allowed to be happy? Please arrest me officer." I placed my arms out waiting her to pretend to put arms in handcuffs.
"So how was he?" she asked as I walked through the kitchen to over to her. I dropped my bag on the foot of the couch and sat next to her, plummeting my hand into the bowl of popcorn.
"Good." I looked at the Tele and noticed she was watching Valentine's Day and it was the part with both Taylors (Launter and Swift). I forced the big handful of popcorn in my mouth and started chewing.
"Very un-lady like," she stated.
"Ooh I'm sorry your majesty, I didn't know I was princess in training," I joked.
"Haha very funny. Come on, how is Ed attracted to you if you eat like a pig."
"I'll take that as a compliment. Plus Ed and I are only friends."
"Well how come you're all buddy-buddy with my favorite singer of all time and you hate him."
"Dyl, you change favorite singers like the weather and I don't hate him."
"Well when you two get married, I'll tell everyone how you went to insulting him right in front of him and about twenty-four hours later, you're besties exchanging each others most darkest secrets."
I groaned, grabbed my bag and stood onto my feet, "I'm not gonna hear this anymore, I'm going to bed." I walked into my room.
"I'll still mention it even if you don't let me be the maid of honor!" she yelled from the other room.
"None of your daydreams are gonna happen," I shot back and closed the door.
I changed out of my outfit and into my pajamas which included purple elephant shorts from Aerie and my I <3 NY shirt that Dylan got me as a birthday gift since I've always wanted a t-shirt like that and it's not like I've been out of the country. I grabbed my brush from my vanity and went though my blonde hair and when I was done, I went to the bathroom to wash my face.
After I did my bedtime rituals, which start of with the brushing of the hair, washing my face, brushing my teeth and bathroom (I know TMI) and I went back into my room. I swooped my hair over my shoulder, making it look like a blonde waterfall going down from my head. I grabbed the little jewelry box that sat on my bureau and sat with it on my bed. I gently opening the small wooden box because of it's age and heard the classical music playing. I never knew what the song was but I always enjoyed the smooth soft notes it playing that I want it on my iPhone. In the middle of this box stood a spinning little of a ballerina. Standing straight and tall as she spun in little pink pointe shoes and a pink tutu, her black colored hair pulled up into a bun. I have always enjoyed looking at this box ever since I was little. Whenever I got sad, mad or just for fun, I would watch the little figurine spin for hours and I would pretend I wad her. I have always wanted to take dance lesson but obviously couldn't. I wondered if my real mother, Diana was a ballerina and maybe shw could teach me, but I stopped myself right there, I couldn't get my hopes up. I was afraid that when I meet them that they wouldn't want me or worse that it's not really them. I needed to stop dreaming about what I want reality to be like and stop thinking the "what ifs" about life.
Sighing, I closed the little box and placed it on my bed side table next to my phone. I turned off the light and pulled the covers over me, I knew it was early to go to bed, but I was exhausted. But not within five minutes of sleeping, I heard my phone buzz beside me.I grabbed it and noticed it was a text from Ed, sliding it open and it read:
Goodnight beautiful, can't wait to see you again.
And again I smiled like an idiot, placing my phone back to where it was, I drifted off into a peaceful sleep.
