Here's the next chapter! Hope you enjoy reading. I do not own Soul Eater, just my characters.
Nice bright morning. It was such a nice way to start your day and it was no exception for Jyin and Hisui. Most of the shopkeepers woke up quite early in the morning so they can prep their shops for customers. Normally, Hisui would wake up pretty early too, but her injuries from last night are aching and thus she woke up later than she would've liked to. Thankfully, Jyin did her the favor waking up early in the morning and got everything prepped while she slept in a bit. Once Hisui got in the rhythm of things, she decided to open the shop.
"Do you wanna spar with me sometime today?" Jyin asked as he stood behind the cash register. "I'm worried about your physical state ever since your last fight and I think some strength training could do you some good."
Hisui hummed in response and pondered. Ever since her fight with Mifune, Hisui was wondering if she's even capable of handling things on her own. Even though she wasn't trying to defeat him, her retreating from the fight with several wounds hurt her pride just a tad. Not only that, but she can only assume that she will be facing opponents just as or even stronger than him. At the bright side, her injuries are pretty much healed and she's ready for physical action if need be.
"Sure." Hisui finally said after some thought. "We should make sure that we will be in top shape, but I wanna do some business first.🎵"
Jyin sighed since he was hoping to fight before opening the shop. Actually, he would rather train then open shop. As much as Hisui wants to get straight to training, opening the shop here in Death City is key to keeping themselves hidden. As far as the people of Death City are concerned, she and Jyin are the shopkeepers of the tent 'Honest Herbs'. The idea of making a shop was the perfect disguise and was carefully planned since the two discovered about the yearly event in Death City. Thanks to Hisui, who reserved a spot for her shop to be presented during the event, they can infiltrate Death City without anyone knowing. Since Jyin was causing obvious trouble for the DWMA, Hisui was able to keep a low profile when the event came close. It also worked out for Hisui since she has always wanted to open up a shop that sells plants of various types. Jyin had no problem with her intentions of making a profit of her habit, but he is concerned that it will sully her fighting spirit.
"Excuse me, but I need to use the restroom." Jyin told Hisui as he got up from behind the register. "I'll be back in a few."
Hisui nods and watch Jyin exit from the back entrance. Once Jyin left, Hisui took Jyin's place from behind the register. In slight frustration, she curses and slams her fist on the table causing it to shake violently.
"Jyin is definitely mad." Hisui sighs. "Can I blame him? No. Of course not. I haven't nearly made as much progress as him and at this rate, I'll hold him back."
"Hello? Is anyone here?"
The sound of female voice snapped Hisui back into reality.
"We're open.🎵" Hisui called not knowing who entered.
