The Upside of Things (Completed)

After arriving to Mike's house I helped the boys as we laid Eleven on the couch in the basement so we could start figuring this out.

"What was he saying? Like home? What does that mean?" Lucas asked me

"How should we know?" I snapped

"Well you were there, shouldn't you know?!" Mike asked giving me a look

"No I wasn't, I don't know what he's talking about. Maybe he meant I was on the road that night, which I was." I said defensively as Mike sighed

Then they started talking about the upside down and the vail of shadows.

"Do you know how to get to the upside down?" Mike asked El but she shook her head and we sighed

"What are we gonna do now?" I asked feeling defeated

"We go to the funeral and we pretend he's dead, then we talk to Mr. Clark, then we come back here and figure this out." Mike said and we all nodded. Lucas and Dustin got there bags and walked upstairs

"Hey Tar? Can we talk?" Mike asked

"Yea, yea. What's up?" I asked looking at him

"Where have you been the last few days? I mean you completely ditched the party and when you're here you're completely spacing out on us, what's going on with you? Where you really in that place?" He asked worried

"To much to explain right now. But trust me on this. Everything is gonna be fine. I'll see you tomorrow Mike." I sighed grabbing my backpack. I ran out to my bike and rode off

"Oh shit, where am I gonna sleep?" I whispered to myself before sighing I rode off then I had an idea of where to go.

I rode off to castle Byers and decided to sleep there. Hopefully this will all be over soon and I can go back home with Jess and Will will be ok.

"TARA!" I woke up to a yell! I was back in that place. I slowly got up. I rememberer this place, it's where I send my nightmares.

"Tara?!" Will yelled

I started to run to the sound of his voice

"Will?" I yelled

"Byers? Where are you?" I yelled then I saw him.

"T?" He asked hugging me

"Will, we're gonna get you out of here I promise."

"I believe but, hurry."

"I promise." I hugged him again

"Wait Tara? How are you here? I thought you got out." He asked holding me at arms length

"I'm not really sure. I think I'm dreaming. Or like projecting myself to you some how?" I tried to explain but he nodded understanding that I really didn't know.

I sat with Will for a few hours as we tested out my powers. 

"Tara?" Will asked as I was now cuddled into his chest as we laid in castle Byers

"Yea Will?" I sat up to look into his eyes

"Do you think that, maybe with your powers.....you could get me out of here?" He asked softly

"I don't know but I'll try." I said standing up and holding his hands

"And Tara?" He looked at me

"Yes?" I asked as he looked at me almost nervously

"I believe in you. I know that if this doesn't work...you'll keep trying something. I want you to know it's not your fault that I'm here." He said as he gave me a quick hug as I nodded

"Ok let's do this." I said more to myself then to Will as I closed my eyes.

I tried to concentrate on the real castle Byers and bringing Will home but when I opened my eyes,

I was home and Will was still gone.....
