========================
YO! before ya continue i wanna say there's been an edit in chapter 3! it shouldn't be hard to see. hope ya see this! and now. ON WIT DA SHOW!! :D========================
yuri: this poem is called--! *she glances around to each of you*
sayori: you can do it yuri...
yuri: it.....it's called....after image of the crimson eye...*her voice shakes as she begins reading her poem. practically moments ago, she had refused to do this. you question why she is putting so much effort into this? but after reading only but a few lines, her voice completely changes. it's almost like what happens when yuri gets absorbed into her books. her quivering words transform into sharp syllables of a fierce and confident woman. the poem is full of twists and turns in its structure that she communicates with perfect timing. this must be a rare glimpse into the whirling fire concealed inside her head...! suddenly she's finished. everyone is stunned. she snaps back to reality and glances around asif she's just as bewildered as everyone else here*
yuri: i....
*i guess it's up to you to save the situation. your the first to applaud, soon after having the others follow. giving yuri the recognition she deserves. of course its not like you didnt want to applaud her. its that you were caught off guard from her confident and prideful action contrary to her more timid demeanor. as we applauded she held the sheet to her chest and rushed back to her seat. *
monika: Yuri, that was really good! thank you for sharing.
*that was yuri down. only a few more to rehearse their poem on stage*sayori: OKAY! i guess im next then!
*she hops out of her seat and bounces cheerfully to the podium*
sayori: this ones called... "my meadow"..aha..ahahaha. sorry i giggle~! ehehehe!
sansy: heh will ya get on wit it already?
sayori: *she let out an embarrassed smile* hey its a lot harder than i thought! how did you guys do it so easily?
monika: Ah..try not to think of it like your reciting to other people. imagine your reciting to yourself, like in front of a mirror, or in your own head. its your poem, so it'll come out the best that way.
sayori: i see, i see...ok then...*you could see a DETERMINED look in her eyes as she begins her poem. somehow her soft voice felt as if it was made as a perfect match. the poem isn't as aimlessly cheery as sayori is. it was serene and bittersweet. if you were to read it on paper you probably wouldn't think it much. but hearing it come from sayoris soft voice almost gives it a brand new meaning. maybe this was what she meant when she said she "liked my poems." its like you get to reach deeper into someone you knew through and through. sayori finishes and we reply with an applause.* i did it~!
sansy: heh 8/10 sayori!
sayori: Hey! *she giggled and smiled* Ehehe, well at least you liked it. i guess that's a good sign~
sansy: whats that supposed to mean?
monika: it came out nicely sayori. the atmosphere of the poem fits you nicely. but it might be that other poems wouldn't work well with that kind of delivery.
sayori: eh? i don't really understand
monika: in other words, i've seen poems of yours where that sort of gentle delivery wouldn't work as well...they might need a little force behind them, depending on what your reading..
sayori: oh i know what you mean! that's...well, i've been practising that kind of thing...*a crimson blush coverts her face* its just embarrassing to do it infront of everyone...ehehehe...monika: then next time im picking a poem that challenges you a little more. we don't have much time before the festival you know?
sayori: okaaaaaaaay!
monia: now. whos next...? natsuki?
nat: hmph.don't make me go before sansy. its not like i compare to you guys anyway...might as well let sansy lower everyone's standards before i have to do it..
sayori: natsuki...
sansy: its cool, its cool. better now than later ami right? but it aint like i got much of a selection of what to read. guess i'll just go with what i wrote today. *you stand up and take your turn on the podium. all eyes were on you. an awkward spotlight hanging over your head. you begin to recite your train wreck of a poem. since you had a combination of lack of confidence in your writing and pure fatigue, it was hard to put the energy into it. despite that you receive a round of applause.* sorry im not as good as you guys..
