"Hey, If you need a place to stay, you can stay with me."
"I literally just met you two minutes ago, the fuck?"
"Jeez, sorry for offering. You seemed nice but I guess I'll just take that offer back then."" The Onceler replied, rolling his eyes.
"Ugh, fine. I guess I'll take you up on that offer because where the hell else am I gonna stay?" You sighed, running a hand through your hair.
"Alright, well, I only have one bed so you're going to have to take the couch." He said, glancing over at you.
'No shit, Sherlock."
Together, you walked back to his tent, The Lorax trailing behind. The Onceler opened the flimsy door and let everyone in.
"Well, this is my house, or whatever you want to call it." He said, chuckling.
You rolled your eyes at him and went to the kitchen.
"Why are there marshmallows everywhere-?" You asked, stifling a laugh.
"That is a very long sto- hey!"
You threw a marshmallow at him, snickering as you ducked behind a box of stuff.
"Oh, you wanna wage a war then, huh?" Once said, throwing a handful of marshmallows back at you.
They continued on with the marshmallow fight until Once tripped, You fell right on top of him.
You both awkwardly stared into each other's eyes for a second or two and quickly got up, both feeling quite embarrassed.
"What in the actual fuck was that..?" You said, feeling flushed. You stood up, making a break for the door.
"It was an accident, it was nothing," He said, looking at you, his face a slight shade of pink. You looked back at him with the most unimpressed look, pushing past him and making your way for the forest.
Before he could chase after you, you were out the door and had run into the dense forest of truffula trees.
You sat underneath a truffula tree for a few hours, daydreaming about life.
"Ah so there you are. I've been looking for you. It's getting dark, we should probably head back to the tent now. Don't need you getting kidnapped or something.." The Onceler said.
You muttered something under your breath as you trailed behind him back to his tent.
