Y/n started scrolling his head around the village searching for any familiar face he could spot. Afterwhile of looking he finally spotted people; Shikamaru and Choji, Y/n's eyes glimmered with joy as he ran toward them. The two heard strong footsteps coming their direction, they both turned their heads and noticed the footsteps came from the running Y/n.
Y/n: Guys!
Choji: What is it?
Shikamaru: And please don't let it be stupid.
Y/n: No i- wait?! Stupid I don't ask stupid question, when did I ever ask stupid questions.
Shikamaru: Right now.
Y/n: Ha! Funny, who told you that joke? Asuma Sensei?
Shikamaru: No.
Y/n: Oh t- damnit, I'm brushing off topic, do you guys wanna- wait why are you two hanging out?
Shikamaru: This is not a hang out.
Y/n: Your on a mission?!?!
Shikamaru: No, I wanted to show Choji something and we needed a quiet place to do so.
Choji: Yep! It's top secret.
Y/n: Top secret? I'm all ears.
Shikamaru: After what we went through with that Dosu guy, I'm sure I can trust you.
Y/n: Alright. So where are we going?
Shikamaru: Follow me.
As the two walked forward, Choji followed behind eating his chips which he dropped, he bent down to pick it up and doing so made him stop and a random guy knocked into him, dropping the mans stuff.
Choji: Sorry.
Man: It's okay.
Shikamaru and Y/n looked behind and noticed Choji helping the man.
Shikamaru: We've got hands, we might as well help.
Y/n: I don't think that would be necessary.
Shikamaru: Are you still afraid of the villagers?
Y/n: Afraid?! Look buddy I have almost met death before, like hell I'm afraid of some villager.
Shikamaru: So you are?
Y/n: No!
Shikamaru: Alright let's help him then.
Y/n:....Fine...
Shikamaru and Y/n kneeled down and helped the man pick up his stuff with Choji. The man looked up at the two kids to thank them, but froze mid way.
Y/n: What's up?
Choji: Shikamaru?
Shikamaru: Don't look at me, it's not shadow possession.
Man: (staring directly at Y/n) Y- you!
Y/n: What?
Shikamaru: What did you do?
Choji: Yeah!
Y/n: I don't know, I have never seen this guy in my life before!
Man: Don't lie! You know who I am! Your the one who broke into my home, shocked my wife and stole our stuff!
Shikamaru: You seriously did that?!
Y/n: What?! Of course not, I'm wearing the leaf village headband, if I did something like that, then I would be disrespecting it's name.
Choji: Look sir, I think your mistaking our friend for someone else.
Man: No, I know I'm right, the only difference from you when you stole my stuff, is that your much older now.
Y/n paused at the last two words that came out of the mans mouth.
Man: I will always remember that red hair, no matter what!
Shikamaru looked at Choji confused, the lazy genin was about to speak to
Y/n, when he noticed the red haired boy was walking off.
Man: I'll remember you! I know you!
Shikamaru and Choji turned and followed Y/n.
Shikamaru: What the hell was that?
Y/n: Beats me.
Choji: That man seemed pretty serious Y/n.
Y/n: He must be sick or something, I don't know him.
Choji: If you say so.
Shikamaru:.... Yeah...sick...
❖ Moments Later ❖
Shikamaru pulled out a scroll from his satchel.
Shikamaru: I found this while I was at the hokage's office. The scroll was on the floor, untouched.
Y/n: What's it about?
Choji: What jutsu is it?
Shikamaru: Lucky for us it's not a forbidden jutsu, those scrolls look different.
Y/n: This one is the same, it looks older than the scrolls we have now.
Shikamaru: Yeah.
Choji: Open it already!
Shikamaru nodded, and untied the scroll. The scroll opened up and Y/n lowered his head to read what was written on the scroll.
